"Beautiful lagoon views. Tasty decorating. Bottled water available in room. Could use a detailed cleaning, baseboards etc. staff throughout was wonderful. Pool area needs deep cleaning, a lot of mold and missing tiles in pool area. Would return. Enjoyed our stay. "

"We stayed at Mariposa when we arrived to Placencia and the last night before we returned home and it was perfect. Gladis was very welcoming at the reception, Donny was amazing at the restaurant and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. The bungalow was perfect for our family of 4, since they have bunk beds. The restaurant was good with a nice view of the ocean. They have nice swings, volleyball court, paddle boards and bicycles which is perfect to go in town. It’s less than 5 minutes drive from Placencia airport. The only thing is the ocean has so much seaweeds that it wasn’t nice to go in the water. Which is fine since we didn’t stay at this hotel for the ocean but just be aware that this strip of the island gets a lot of seaweeds…"

"The best of both worlds! This property is stunning, and it really offered the best of both worlds. We were able to experience resort-style amenities and service, while enjoying the space of an AirBnB. Our suite was huge and gave us ample room to enjoy ourselves. It was nice to be able to cook some meals in the suite, although they could definitely stand to upgrade their kitchenware. The pool is huge, and we really enjoyed the swim-up bar. The restaurant sits right on the water, and we were really impressed with the food there. The service is top-notch from the bar to the housekeeping staff. *A note about the location: Placencia is a lot bigger than I realized. This property is in an area that is mostly just resorts and a handful of restaurants. A little further South is Maya Beach, which is quite nice. If you want to actually visit Placencia Village, it's a good 20-30 minute drive. So this is the perfect location for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. But if you want to be in the heart of Placencia, go further South. "
