We arrived earlier than the 4 p.m. check-in time so we could grab lunch before checking in, and we left our luggage and carry-on at the front desk. After check-in, our luggage took 30 minutes to be delivered. The carry-on wasn’t delivered at all, so I had to go to the front desk to claim it. The night front desk person was nice, but the day front desk gentleman wasn’t very courteous.

To describe this place as refurbished was ridiculous. Old, tatty, grubby, worn, unloved would be more accurate descriptions. A part of the bathroom wall was actually missing where a tile had come off, leaving a hole in the wall big enough for a family of rats to come through. It was game over for ...
