Bed and Breakfast in Ilminster

"Greeted by friendly receptionist on arrival who showed us to our large, airy sea view room. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Dinner in the evening was freshly cooked and served in the dining room. Plenty of choices for breakfast and this was cooked to order. I am coeliac, so gluten free options were available."

"Beautiful and comfortable bathroom. Cosy bed. Very clean, but the carpet is a bit old. Half of the sockets are also round legged."

"The hotel was clean and facilities generally good, although beds not overly comfortable. Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good as was the parking. I would use the hotel again in the future. Our stay was spoiled slightly by other noisy guests and unsupervised children in the restaurant and running in the corridors in the early hours. This was not the hotel’s fault. Good location"

"Rooms clean and warm but could do with a freshen up decoratively. Staff were very helpful. My only issue was the lack of disabled facilities. The ground floor rooms were sorted, but no walk in shower was available for us, and the small lift in the bar area was not working, nor did I see anyone attending to it during our 2 night stay. This limited where my family could sit for meals."

"The reason we chose the Royal Ashton was that they allow pets (for a fee) The room are clean and have good beds. But this hotel has been very ambitious in cramming as many rooms as possible in an old building!"
