"This place is wonderful. Clean, gorgeous, cozy, easy, and little details topped it off. Unfortunately, nearby neighbors playing loud music who didn’t turn it down or off when asked ruined our quiet nighttime firepit time we had been looking forward to, which was upsetting for the price we paid for this. Also: Once we figured out how the map works, it made sense how to get to our cabin but we spent like 20min when we first arrived just driving around trying to find the cabin. Better communication (like a digital map provided as part of check in process) would be helpful for first timers. I do hope to come back to try again to this incredible place, super close to Matthiesen and Starved Rock State Parks."

"This home was perfect for our family. The host is so responsive and the house has all those little extras to make the stay comfortable. Beautiful nature views in the back and outside sitting area were a bonus. Perfect for a visit to Starved Rock. Would highly recommended anyone for this stay."

"Beautiful rural, quiet setting. The other property is next door, but still very private. If you’re not used to rural, well water living, I would recommend bringing your own drinking water. The house is very cool and a great place to rest. A few more tables, landscape clean-up, updated faucets and wall art would be nice, but it didn’t affect our enjoyable stay."

Entire Cozy Villa 2 min Near Starved Rock!

"Our group of five adults had a great time here! Top amenity ended up being the super cozy fire place, but we also loved being able to work with the smart thermostat as people with different temp preferences. Four stars because most of the dishes had grime / bits on them when we arrived, and we couldn’t comfortably be barefoot in the house. The downstairs toilet also began to leak a few days into our trip and we had to stop using it, as well as a lack of grill. It is listed as one of the amenities but there are actually only public grills in an open outdoor area nearby, so was definitely not convenient. Otherwise, we loved this stay! It’s basically just down the street from both Starved Rock and Buffalo Rock State Parks, which are beautiful. Checking in and out was a breeze, the TVs are great, and the Wifi is strong. Owner is super friendly and communicative too! We had a great time. I would recommend!"
