"Warning, do not rent a room here. Stay away. This place is full of false advertising. They have an extra hidden fee that they don’t show online that they force you to pay when you rent a room here. Second of all they advertise that they have smoke free rooms, which they don’t. I booked a smoke free room and was given a smoking room. "Besides the toilet flush being very loud, the room was clean and up to par. We did have to wait three hours to check in, which was frustrating. When we asked for management, we were told by the front desk that there was no management in the building. It was a great stay aside from that."

Biking the trails across from Buffalo Rock today. There are 4 campsites on this trail that I will need to revisit when it gets a bit warmer. Starved Rock State Park is just on the other side of the Illinois River. There's plenty to do in this area if you like hiking and biking!
