Great place, beautiful beach, extreme relaxation

The breakfast was excellent in terms of choices and quality. The dinner was ok, but being a buffet drops the quality. Still good selection, but it felt like buffet. Not really a problem but being a Greek I am used to have better cooked dinner from restaurants, but for buffet style food was still quite good

This place is great. The hotel was perfectly kept. We did half board and there were plenty of selections at each meal and all was very good. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Beach access underground was perfect with bathroom for convenience.

This is a beautiful hotel right across the street from the sea. Rooms are bright, clean and comfortable and the design of the facility is unique and modern. The breakfast / dinner buffets are outstanding.

Second time and will stay again

Second time at this property and will stay again. I had recommended this property to friends too who also stayed there. This time I have tried the buffet dinner and was quite happy with the selection and taste. Room is spacious and well appointed apart from the mirror which was located on the wall by the bed (minor inconvenience). The property has also great sunset views.

Not for me.

Nice room & amazing view. Lovely welcome fruit platter & bubbly. However my room offered no shade after 2pm. No umbrellas. Apparently because of wind. Guess they don't know about concrete base umbrellas. So impossible to sit outside most of the day. Food very average. Built on a hill. Golf buggies available to drive you back up. Wouldn't want to be dependent on that in high season.

Good with mistakes!

Although we were overall satisfied with the hotel, I will describe both the positive and negative experiences we had! The hotel is a complex built in a modern style with a villa-like layout. Our room was exceptionally clean and well-equipped. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a surprise: a fruit platter and a bottle of champagne! The staff was kind, smiling, and helpful. After we booked the room, we found out from the confirmation that dinner in addition to breakfast was also included in the price. It was fantastic! There were so many food options. Delicious, flavorful dishes! And now for the negatives: When we arrived, the room temperature was 30.5°C (86.9°F)! Since we were only given one key card, and the air conditioning only worked with the card, the room kept heating up again whenever we left. The booking photos showed a balcony with a sun lounger but instead, we got a balcony facing a walkway, with just two chairs and a small table, and this was also where the entrance to the room was. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to sit out there! The hotel has several design flaws. Most balconies face common areas, so there’s zero privacy! In addition, the shower leaked, the toilet kept running, and an unpleasant smell constantly came into the room from the bathroom. Every morning, we were woken by the slamming of the cleaning room door and the loud talking of the staff. Despite all this, it’s up to everyone to decide whether they would like to stay here or not.

Great setting, let down in a few areas

Overall this was a nice stay, the hotel has been designed and built very well. It's built on the side of a hill and as such, the higher you go, the better the view. The view over Ierapetra city at night is amazing. The only comment on the room is that the lighting could do with being better at the bathroom mirror and the wardrobe needs more shelves / drawers. We got a warm welcome on check in but rarely got a welcome at other times. Often no acknowledgement of arriving for breakfast or dinner. During the service of these, the staff often looked over-worked. That being said, overall the food was good. The beach was lovely with decent sun beds. In the near week that we were there the bins were never emptied or the sunbed tables wiped down. The beach bar was good, but would be so much better if they walked round every now and then to see if you wanted anything rather than having to go up each time. The gym was equipped OK, though could probably do with having a set of dumbbells. Nothing to wipe down equipment after use, the air con was limited to 24°C and no towels available which again was a let down, especially as they were strict on limiting towels. The little spa on site is decent - felt very relaxed after a massage. Overall we had a nice relaxing stay and it's almost frustrating that they don't just put a bit more effort in to get it amazing.

We had a great 10 days stay in the hotel. Excellent facilities and a great pool area on the top of the hill. The room was advertised as a swim-up room with a little misleading picture here in Expedia. Instead of the swim-up rooms that share a long pool on the terrace area we lived at the pool site around two buildings with approx 10 room. Actually the better choice as it was very calm, was equipped with sunbeds for e very room and additional canopies. Had a great view towards the sea and the sunset every night. You just need to beware if you expect the same room as shown in the pictures. Great selection of food with different themes every day. Staff was a little slow at times, but still friendly.

This is a wonderful destination for anyone visiting the Irepetra area of Crete and looking for an all inclusive experience. The hotel was perfect for a relaxing week's vacation with my girlfriend. What I really liked was the staff, the food and the facilities. We arrived were greeted with sparkling wine and we wäre brought to the room with a golf card and got a massage, just a dream. Also the beach very relaxing with nice facilities. The Enorme Santanna Beach Hotel is a beautiful and design Hotel located in front of the beach. We had a very nice and clean room with a terrasse with a great view on the sea. The room was spacious and well equipped, the bathroom nice and clean. All the staff was extremly friendly with a everytime needed a lot of attention. The breakfast and evening buffets were very tasty, offering a wide choice of food, vegetables, fisch, bread,... If you are looking for a great place to enjoy the "dolce vita" and spend some quality time, the Santanna Hotel is the right place!

The service at Enorme Santanna Beach is really excellent. The resort is gorgeous, the view is divine, and you are on the beach. The pool area is great, with lounge beds in the pool, a fabulous pool bar serving delicious food and drinks. Everything was here and my only complaint is that I don’t care for buffet dining. But the food is great and there are options to order food to your room. We booked rather last minute and were really pleasantly surprised by the property. Would stay here again and will recommend to friends and family.
