Glenmore resort munnar stay review
The food at dinner was good. freshly cooked, home style. the stay was a dampener as the photo and other facility description seen at your website and reality is far from truth. the way you advertise the visuals (photographs of the resort) and talk about the facilities at the resort is completely a fraud. its deceptive, you fool people and lie. this is a private small guest house type facility. it is no where near a resort. the actual place and what you show in the website do not match, its a deception and cheating.

Dear sir, Thank you for your feed back. first of all we are thanking you for your positive review about our food, and secondly its our response to clarify the things you shares in your reviews. our resorts is small one having only 7 rooms inside a cardamom plantation, the pic shown on the web are same only,and we are not suppose to cheat customer any point of sale coz we know better it is a service industry and for its future be should be genuine all the time.

excellent stay. well kept premises. right in the heart of a cardamom estate. Access to the site is a bit difficult. call them and they will pick you in a jeep.

Helpful staff
This hotel has great views from the balconies. The rooms, although large, are not up to expectations in terms of cleanliness of the linen and bathroom walls, which need a good scrub. The hotel is at the end of a track and the ride up and down is uncomfortable in the jeep. Breakfast was very tasty and the staff are always ready to help.

Hotel for nature lovers
We had a memorable stay for 3 days at Glenmore its a good place for nature lovers, the staff of resort is good, food is good at reasonable price. Location is good rooms are big and cleaned. Its 600 mtrs down from the main road every time resort provide us jeep for pickup and drop.

Dirty hotel. Requires 15 minute down hill ride.
This hotel has fancy pictures and description on the Expedia site. But looks like no one has verified if this is true. The hotel rooms are dirty and the one I got had moths in it. There was a terrible smell in the room that would not go away. This is a small time place run by a guy who is misleading people. And the worst part is he does not agree to refund the amount paid on silly excuses. The kitchen and dining area is pathetic and no where near what is shown in the pictures. Good only for very low budget travelers.

Home Away from Home
My second stay at Glenmore, the first one in 2012. With the fantastic service and the every helping staff, this is Home away from Home, if you are looking for a completely different atmosphere from the chaos of city life.

A good place tucked away in plantation
Had a good stay. Other than these two rooms (that we had booked), rest everything is good about the resort. The staff is very hospitable and location is fantastic. The approach to the hotel is adventurous.

A nice relaxing stay.
Great room with a little verandah overlooking the gardens. It is a bit out of town and down a steep hill but great if you want to escape for a couple of days. Nice food and good breakfast. And the manager drove us up the hill and put us on the bus to Kochi, we were so grateful!

Good Value for Money
Glenmore resorts is a good quiet place to stay. From the main road you have to climb down about 600-650 meters a steep slippery road. The resort is providing jeep (4 wheel drive) to pick up and drop us on the main road. Overall a comfortable stay for 2 days. Breakfast was good and one night we ordered a light dinner which was also good. Staff are very very friendly. WiFi was the only weak area. Overall I liked the place. Rooms were very clean and the green ambience around the rooms were superb.

Budget place for a night
This place is about a 15 min drive from the town of Munaar and you can't walk to anywhere from it because it is located down a very steep dirt road that goes down the mountain. They send jeeps up to meet guests at the main road because normal cars have trouble getting up and down the road. Since the town of Munnar is noisy, crowded and hideous (filled with ugly cement block buildings and hundreds of unattractive commercial signs), it is fine staying outside of the town. Good points about the hotel: It is affordable and the staff are very nice and eager to please. Negative points: No AC in rooms and the rooms are very humid and musty smelling. There are fans, but the mildew smell is quite strong. They should wash the bathroom walls and shower regularly with bleach to kill the mildew. The walls between rooms are very thin, so you can hear EVERYTHING in the rooms on either side. I wanted to go to sleep early but the people next door were talking all night outside on the patio in front of their room (and next to mine). Someone in another bungaloo was playing loud music, which is not what you want to hear when you are trying to get away and have a jungle experience. A couple of the staff speak English but most of them do not, so communicating can be difficult. The food was mediocre - the omelettes were very very salty, the toast cold and hard. If you WANT A BUDGET HOTEL, THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO STAY FOR A NIGHT, but I wouldn't spend more time there, as it really isn't a "resort."

Dear sir, Thank you for your feed back, buses and traveller will not reach our parking place . 600 mtr we have a parking place for buses and from there will pick you in our vehicle(free of cost 24*7 services)

It's nice hotel worth money.
I have stayed there with my family for 2 nights. It was excellent experience. Food is nice. You could also go around for trekking. They are also expanding the facilities now. Staffs are very helpful. Especially Ritish was very courteous and helpful. They will pick you and drop you at the main road for free. From main road you could get an auto to town which is about 8 km away. Overall it is pleasant and safe stay here at the low cost.

Nice hidaway
This hotel is small but has all the service one could wish for. It feels like a small family run hotel although it is run by two business partners. The fact there are few rooms makes it ever more peaceful, perfect for couples. I enjoyed the stay and the food was nice. The hotel offers a free ride to the bus or auto stop which is handy.

Good value- Great location & friendly staff
i had been to glenmore , munnar in march 2014 for family vacation..though the location is bit remote then what looked on map, but once we reach,- every thing else is secondary..They had one 4X4 jeep (courtesy) available for guest pick up and drop upto main road..so don't worry about remoteness.. Else, we had enjoyed our full stay there- with Courteous staff, neat room and exceptional location amides the cardamom plantation & jungle..if you travel with kids / family, just be sure to plan for any urgent personal need- since it is far from any main hub..if you plan your surrounding visit properly, then this place is sure worth compare to any mid town or Remote luxury star rated hotel..

Great place
Really nice hotel, catering to both Indian and Western tourists. Every room has a little patio with chairs out front. Full service. Good food. They are also clearing trails through the woods around the property which will just make it even better.

Amazing Service
The staff at this hotel could not be faulted, it was always service with a smile, even when we arrived in the middle of the night and asked for food. I had lost some jewelry the night before and the staff went out of their way to call the taxi driver and arrange for me to get it back again. The food was good and the rooms had a lot of space. They smelt a little musty but it was in the middle if the rainforest so not surprising. They seemed perfectly clean. The location is a bit outside of Munnar and down a very steal bank and so they have a jeep you can take to and from the hotel to the main road where you can get a tuk tuk.

Perfect Getaway
The resort is located about 500 mts from the main road. Accessing the resort might be a little difficult, but the staff are always ready to drop you off and pick you up from the main road. There is absolute tranquility and the amazing food provided is an added advantage. The resort has 6 rooms altogether and the rooms are well furnished. The staff are courteous and cater to your every needs. In short, this is a place that deserves its rating and I will definitely visit again.

Hotel location is good if you have your own vechicle because it is located 7 kms away from Munnar town, Except that i enjoyed the environment.Regarding food, there are no near by hotels. Either you have to go to Munnar or Have it in the hotel itself. Hotel Food was nice and not expensive. So my overall rating is 4 out of 5. you can give it a try.

The best cottage experience ....
I travelled as a young couple. This small and cute resort has all pro's and only few cons. The good things are : Spacey room, clean, modern decoration, modern and clean toilet, prompt room service, tasty and hygienic food. I would have liked cleaner bed-sheets and blanket was itchy. The location is off-road inside a steep 700m small road for which this resort provides a Jeep for coming up and going down. There is jungle all around and the TV catches reception. Small flowers in front of cottage give a lively feel. I can recommend this small cottage resort as this is definitely a value for money.

It is situated at very good location. Staff and manager are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are satisfactory but can be better with proper maintenance. Only issue is the route from main road to the hotel. It is very steep and narrow. Only proper drivers can get through that. Food is not the best but satisfactory compared to other places. Overall nice and lovely place to stay.

It is the best budget hotel with Fantastic service. The Location itself is a scenic beauty located inside cardamom / Jack fruit plantation. This Location is near Pallivasal, 7 kms away from Munnar in Cochin road. It is best suited for eco-lovers, Couples, Family & solo. The Food is tasty & suited for both Tamil's & Mallu's. The resort has 6 rooms & 4 Cars can be parked. The rooms are clean. You get Free Wifi in the reception area. The service staff was helpful in arranging low cost cab. Overall you can Relax & Enjoy as the Resort is "Value for Money".

Located in a pleasent atmoshphere. Good plantation view. Staff members are very cordial. The only drawback noted is with Television network connectivity. Most of the times you find TV connectivity not available.

Notre séjour a mal débuté, dans une chambre sombre, humide et bruyante, mais heureusement, nousavonseu une nouvelle chambre mieux exposée pour les 2 derniers nuits. Le personnel est très gentil, l'emplacement est particulier, au fond d'une vallée plantée de cardamines. L'accès est très pentu, les jeep de l'hôtel vous emmènent gratuitement lorsque vous le souhaitez et reviennent vous chercher sur appel téléphonique sur la route de Munnar... De la, vous êtes à 7 km de la ville et 100 roupies de rickshaw. La nourriture ne nous a pas emballé, petit déjeuner très simple pour des occidentaux, café, the et pain confiture.
