"We picked Dalahotel as a jumping off point to explore some of the West Fjords region. It was formerly a boarding school, so don’t expect a typical hotel building. The staff was incredible and friendly. The included breakfast hit the spot and our dinner at the hotel was very good. The hot tub felt amazing. We didn’t try the natural thermal bath on the property as the temp was a bit low during our stay. The temp can fluctuate. We also had two nights of fantastic northern lights. We would stay there again, it’s an interesting place and friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable, but small. That didn’t bother us."

"Excellent location for sightseeing on the Snaefellness peninsula. The room was small but modern and clean with an excellent bathroom. Good place to see the northern lights if the weather cooperates. Staff was friendly and attentive. Dinner was good. Breakfast could have been more extensive. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay."

"Truly one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed! It’s a very cozy farmhouse which has been passed down for generations and it was a wonderful experience. The host was very kind and even sat with us to tell us more about the Icelandic lifestyle. The property is in a beautiful valley with waterfalls and the ocean all within viewing distance."
