Peaceful Country Home w/Covered Bridge

Relax with the family at this peaceful place to stay. Located on spacious rural property between Athens and Madison, Alabama, you are within minutes of fun and entertainment, with an easy return to quiet serenity.
The space
This property provides a spacious up & downstairs area. Upstairs, you will find a large living area with loveseat and recliner seating and open to the efficiency-style kitchen, full appliances, and cooking arrangements. A 6-seat dining table next to the window overlooks the covered bridge and front property view. 2 bedrooms off-set the main living area with 1 queen bed in each room.

The 2 beds may accommodate 4 guests—2 per bed. However, if separate beds are required for guests, the home can only accommodate two guests (1 per bed).

Downstairs, you will find the bathroom, a TV room, couch, and laundry area.

Guest access
All access to the home is granted with exception of the attached garage area. Locks prevent access to this area. Please limit invited friends/family members to the home to no more than 4 people.

Please contact the host to request & receive approval for additional visitors over the 4 mentioned above if needed. Approval must occur before visitor arrivals.

Failure to respect this request will result in cancellation of the reservation based on the inability to adhere to host visitation policies.

Very comfortable

This property was the most comfortable VRBO we've ever stayed in. Our host responded very promptly to our inquiries. It was very peaceful, with a beautiful view from the main windows.

Don’t miss out on this!

Family of four needing a quiet place after hours in the city. Property exceeded all expectations. Conveniently located but out in the country. No cars driving by, birds chirping, wind blowing, just peace. Home was immaculate, cleaned, well kept, and stocked with movies, coffee, plates/utensils. Comfortable beds with clean linens. I could go on but the property is beautiful, the home felt like home, and the owners were absolutely wonderful.

Cozy Clean and Quiet Retreat

Lovely property with great hosts that are very attentive! The home is nicely furnished and very clean. The bed was very comfy! Nice sitting spot to look for Animals over the field at night with a flashlight and a nice beverage. The recommendations for restaurants were great! We enjoyed Mia's for breakfast and Tom Brown's for upscale dinner. One thing that would be helpful is to know that the bathroom is on the lower level in case somebody would have problems with steps in the middle of the night. Definitely will stay here again when we visit our folks:-)

2x first choice

This is my second time staying at this location and I fall in love each time. Cool breezy mornings, fresh air and stunning sunsets were a part of my stay daily. For those who like to exercise, the long country road is serene and safe (2 or 3 cars came through on my 1 hour walk). The accommodations fulfill every need. If only for 1 night, I suggest you stay here, and I guarantee; you will rebook. Thank you to the owners for the hospitality and conversations. 5-stars.

Perfect Location

The absolute best location we have found to date for visiting our son and daughter-in-law who live in the Madison area. We’ve stayed at several places in and around Madison and this place is the best. Short drive to downtown and to Madison. Very quiet setting. No bright lights shining through the windows. No traffic. Husband enjoyed fishing in the pond every day. House was very clean and comfortable. We didn’t have an issue with the bathroom being on a separate floor from the bedrooms. The only negative would be that the covered carport is the only place to sit outside and you have to walk to it. We got wet as it was raining during our stay. It would be great to have a more convenient sitting area to enjoy such a peaceful and scenic location. Hosts were great. We will return.

Absolutely Amazing!

We stayed for just a few days. As soon as we entered, it smelled amazing and was very clean!! The property was beautiful!! Enough room that we flew a kite on a windy day. There was a car port that we were able to park under. It was so quiet and secluded, that you could hear all of the sounds of nature. We will definitely be returning if the opportunity presents itself!! The owners were so very nice and responded instantly with any questions we had!!! They compiled a binder full of information about the property AND about restaurants and things to do locally. They really helped make our stay great!!!

We have stayed at many rental places and this one was one of the cleanest. We enjoyed time out under the trees in the mornings and evenings. We plan to return as we travel to the area to see our family. Communication with the hosts was excellent.

Tranquility

Enjoyable

We were up from Texas to see our first Grandson graduate. After preparing for his functions each day, friends and classmate gathering, luncheons, practice and diners, it was nice to come and enjoy the sounds of nature. We live on 10 and a half acres in Texas and it was all the comforts of home.

Serenity

The photos capture the structure and location accurately. But, nothing captures the serenity and peace other than the actual experience. I normally choose hotels when away for work but, this getaway was for me. And, it truly delivered a "calgon: take me away". This is the type of location where I want to keep it a secret. Slice of Heaven

Property was exactly that, a slice of Heaven. Cozy comfy beds and couches, nice place to recharge. Location is great, enjoyed all of Athens, explored the Huntsville attractions, and the Smokey mountains are a beautiful 2 hour drive away for an amazing day out. Property itself is safe and secured, and possibly the best sunrise you’ll ever have the pleasure of being a part of. The land around feels like home and could easily spend an entire day out there by the pond, enjoying all the wildflowers and soaking up the sun. Fun Time In The Huntsville/Athens Area

My wife and l had a great experience staying at this guest house. Everything was better than the pictures and description indicated. The home was very clean; beds, sofas, and recliners were comfortable; it was very well decorated and had everything we needed to make for an enjoyable stay. The property is quiet and peaceful yet just a short drive to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. (We went to the Space and Rocket Center and also watched the Trash Pandas baseball game)The Hosts, Deno and Valerie, were very acommodating and answered all our questions in a timely manner.
