Worst place in Decatur
To start hotel was paid for and clearly stated no extra fees due at property. When I refused to let me charge my card again then they wanted $100 cash deposit for a hotel that definitely wasn’t worth that. Check out at 11. At 8 house keeping kept banging on the door to do housekeeping. So I do not recommend this place. We and family members stay in Decatur very often. None of us will ever stay here again.

The entire property is under renovation, there were no lights next to the bed, few outlets, it did seem very clean but the door also didn't fully close that there was light coming through.

Fair place to stay on a budget.
Exterior of building is in disrepair but the room was clean. Some of the lights and outlets did not work. Staff was friendly.

I get it, this is a cheap hotel. Booked a smoking room to find out there is no smoking at all. Tv stopped working a couple hours in, and I was treated like I was the one who broke it because it was not mounted to the table like other rooms. If I was to give a star rating they would get negative 5 stars

Not bad!
There was a hole in the bathroom door and some damage under the sink. However, the front desk attendant said they were in the process of remodeling all of the rooms. The room was clean and the front desk clerk was friendly. Overall, a nice budget-friendly place for an overnight stop.

Well, for the most part the room was less to be desired than i would have thought. The room was a smoking room, so i didn't expect it to be fantastic but would have expected it clean. The room cost me $80 a night, it smelled like Marijuana when i first walked in, then when i put my bag down roaches scattered from the desk and up the wall. They were in the bathroom and around the microwave and refrigerator. The trash can had trash in it already and one of the rags was used and had lipstick on it, and the bed spread was coated in cigarette burns. I'm surprised there was enough cover to stay warm so I put the thermostat up high. I doubt i would ever stay there again unless i absolutely had to.

The parking wasn’t user friendly. It was very narrow. The bathroom needed some TLC. The bedspread had burn holes in it. The room was clean but needed a chair.

This was by far the worst place I’ve ever attempted to stay. We walked in and turned around and walked right back out. You should not list this hotel! I felt I needed a shower after just walking in door!

Not safe and not clean
This motel 6 in Decatur AL was disgusting. At 10 pm the lobby was closed and the staff member checked me in through a window with bars on it. On the room it was very dirty. There was dried and bloody boogers stuck on the wall above the headboard. You could see light to outside surrounding the perimeter of the door to outside. We were on our way back from a road trip and nothing else was available.

Perfect for drug deals and prostitution
I checked in late (around 8pm) and was very glad I did. I didn't even make it to the room. The parking lot had several thugs doing some kind of business in cars. Two doors were propped wide open with unsightly people coming in and out. It just felt like a seedy hotel from a movie. I went back and told the lady at the desk that we didn't feel safe and demanded a quick refund. Later, after talking to some locals, we realized that this hotel was very popular for drug deals and prostitution. For your safety, please pick another hotel.

I have stayed at places all over the world, and this is the worst place I have ever stayed. I feel like they should have paid ME to stay there. Moldy and dirty shower, dead bugs under the sheets, smells musty, cigarette burns on the floor of a "no-smoking" room. Overall.... just gross!!!

Basic room. Clean. Especially like the laminate flooring for cleanliness. Beds old and a little lumpy it could have been a little newer. Didn’t care for the fact that checking in had to be done at a small window with safety bars on it. Only a tiny hole to slide ID and credit card through. Not allowed inside. Very close to Hardee’s Jacks and Waffle House is a plus.

The clerk at check-in was sullen, frowned constantly, and was hard to understand through the window being used instead of the lobby. After the first night our room was not serviced in any way. When I called and asked for fresh towels I was told to bring my soiled towels to the front door and they would be exchanged for fresh ones. I was not given any wash cloths even after I expressly asked for them. Other than the microwave being filthy (we did not use it at all) the room was not in bad condition. I probably will not stay at this motel in the future!
