Fly Fishing River Chalet, Fly Shop, Guides, Schools, & Kayaks!
We invite you to experience the rustic simplicity of Kinni Creek Lodge, a cozy retreat setting year-round nestled near an area of whispering woods & privately located along the scenic Kinnickinnic shoreline, a Class 1 trout stream in River Falls, Wisconsin, USA.
Inside, the lodge has 3 rooms named for areas of the Kinnickinnic River. Rocky Branch, Pete’s Creek, and Lower Dam are all outfitted with log furniture, private baths, TV/VCR/DVD's, wireless internet, bath robes, slippers and fireplaces where you can relax in a cozy 'northwoods' atmosphere capturing your heart, or relax, enjoy fly fishing right outside! (2 night minimum on all weekends, 3-4 night minimum on all holiday weekends).
In the Ice House Lodge next door to the main lodge, you will find our on-site Outfitters & Fly Shop with gear and gifts.
Quiet and secluded just off Main Street, Kinni Creek Lodge caters to summer vacationers interested in bird watching, fly fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking or relaxing. In the winter, cross-country ski or snowmobile trails minutes from the lodge!
Kayak the Kinni: Being spring-fed, the Kinnickinnic River in River Falls, Wisconsin., is unusually cold, which makes it a good trout stream. It is also a good kayaking stream, and Kinni Creek Lodge and Outfitters rents kayaks. Floating the Kinni is something special!
The single kayaks maneuver better in the shallow, rock-filled water. The 8-mile trip from River Falls to Kinnickinnic State Park takes most people about 3 hours, though many like to get out and picnic or swim from sandbars. Kayaks are $30-$75 depending on which of the 6 trips you choose. Shuttle service is also available for private kayaks for $20-$30 depending on which trip you choose.

We loved our stay here! Super walkable to shopping and many bars/restaurants. Also, beautiful location right on the river and plenty of space for our party of 4 adults! The lodge is large and would probably fit 6 adults, comfortably. Nice out door places to sit and the beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay again!
The property owners were super friendly and accommodating. The outdoor space was calm and has beautiful views of the river. It’s also close to town if you need anything.
Loved having a bathroom for every person. We enjoyed the country/small town all in one. Missed the hot tub. Very well set up and enjoyed the back patio.
We stayed at this cabin for the weekend and had a great time! Nice location on the river, and it was fun to add on a kayaking adventure, too. Paige, the owner, is very responsive and helpful. I’d recommend if you’re in the River Falls area!
Kayaking and fly fishing guides right next door, but also a short walk to a cute downtown area with restaurants and boutiques. Found some great finds while shopping and my husband enjoyed his guides for fishing and kayaking. The house was clean and well-equipped.
The Kinni Creek Lodge does a great job of making it feel as a much like a "cabin in the woods" as it can, given its location right in town. Fencing, landscaping and the river on one side all make you feel like you're off the beaten path when you're really only steps from downtown River Falls. Two separate outdoor seating areas are a huge bonus - a deck right off of the kitchen in the back yard is a great spot for eating a meal outside, and the fire pit area overlooking the river is a perfect place for a beverage at the end of the day. Vey nice place.
It was a nice house right near downtown. Very clean. The only issue I ran into was that I understood there was four bedrooms, and there turned out to be four beds, so two of us had to sleep in the same room. It wasn’t a big deal.
Our stay at the Kinne Lodge was great! Property as described with lovely decor. We appreciated the fishing and paddling theme. Sorry we didn't have much of a chance to use the very well appointed kitchen as our stay meant frozen pizza (pizza wheel cutter even in one of the utensil drawers!) and eating out with others, but there wasn't anything we saw that was lacking. Really enjoyed the deck overlooking the river. We appreciated the en suite bathroom for each of the bedrooms as well as the half bath for visitors. A word to the mobility challenged: two of the three bedrooms are up a very steep flight of stairs. The hand rail is sturdy, but the stairs are "old style" and made for much smaller people than we are. Recommend and will stay here again when we're ever back this way!
this was a perfect location, near the water. We loved the patio and fire pit as that was where we spent the bulk of our time. It is a wonderful location.
Our stay at the lodge was short and unfortunately we were pretty much there only to sleep as we were in town for our son's wedding but the view overlooking the river is beautiful and it met our needs perfectly. Thank you!
This is a great property and it overlooks the river. Everything around was lush and green. My sisters and I stayed here during a family reunion and had a great time.
