"I was very satisfied with the hostel, the room was clean, bright, and spacious. The view from the window was also great. The owner was a very cheerful and kind person. I went to "Santuario de San Pedro de Alcantara", and the scenery was wonderful on the gentle 2.7km riverside road from the hostel to there, the birds singing and the babbling brook were soothing, and I was impressed by the scent of flowers when I breathed in. It was a very nice place."

"Fabulous Parador in the mountains. Upgrade to a Mountain View room if you can. Staff friendly and helpful, excellent restaurant serving the best octopus I’ve ever had. Rooms aren’t huge but are well equipped.Parador easy to find and roads are good. Can’t wait to come back!"

"The front desk staff were friendly. The waitress was snarky. No coffee in the room. No WiFi in room 36 but good else. Old building with creaky floors. "

"Stayed in the rooms for a family of five. It was nice. The water was warm and the jet tub worked well. We did not eat at the restaurant but went into town for dinner and our breakfast we brought back and put in the fridge. Only stayed one night but it was nice. "

"We recently stayed at Estrellas de Gredos and were really disappointed. The place has stunning mountain views and a traditional curved ceiling, but a lot of things went wrong. The biggest issue was a broken sliding door that wouldn’t lock. When we told the staff, they showed up unannounced at 22:00 and just said it was safe to leave it unlocked, which didn't sit right with us. The inside felt cheap too. The kitchen had flimsy Ikea stuff that looked like it could fall apart any minute. The...

"We had a warm welcome from the owner, and the apartment we stayed in was a good size, with a separate bedroom and living/kitchen area. The apartment is above a garage (separate to the rest of the hostel) and below the owners living area. The kitchen was mostly well equipped, with a microwave, oven, hob, filter coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine, plenty of crockery and pans. "its a 1 star Hostal - so dont expect much and you will be pleasantly surprised. Aircon was good, Shower was a bit poor due to low water pressure but water was hot. Easy access and parking. Helpful guy at reception. Room was cleaned which we were not expecting. "
