Surviving the Storm!
My mother and I arrived and went straight to the property, being unclear about the check-in process. We drove to the rental agency (about a 20 minute drive), and were told that since it was a keyless entry and the cleaning was unfinished, we would have to wait 30 minutes to receive the code! Ridiculous!! We went and got a late lunch at Home Plate Cafe (5 stars!), then returned for the key(less) code! The home is immaculate! Great furnishings, high-end appliances, LARGE TV in the den for viewing, and every kitchen gadget you would ever need. Downside to the property: The photos are misleading, as it appears that there are TVs in each bedroom, which there is only one. The beautiful screen door out to the grill is inoperable, so to get to the porch, you have to go through the master bedroom. The bathrooms are really weird. There's only one full bath, and the half-bath is at an angle, and inconvenient. Small issue was no hair dryer. Even motels have a hair dryer. There is no ice maker, just two trays. Lastly, there are NO kitchen condiments, so bring seasonings, oil, etc. if you plan on cooking. Overall, the home is very comfortable and peaceful; the owners just need to do some "tweaking".
