beautiful setting. first time glamping and we enjoyed it. AC in both bedrooms worked surprisingly well in the middle of a hot texas summer. very responsive hosts. will be back in the fall!

I really enjoyeddd myself it was so nice and peaceful. They do need to clean that actual tent itself it has a lot of dark spots on it . It has such a beautiful view ! I would go back for sure .

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an amazing experience at The Retreat on the Hill near Austin. The place was peaceful, beautiful, and exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Everything felt cozy, clean, and well taken care of, and the atmosphere made our anniversary even more special. Thank you for the unforgettable stay. We will definitely be back!

Stayed at the Bay cliff house and everything about it was perfect as described with the exception of electrical issues I had the first night with no staff available nor onsite neither over the phone to assist as it was after hours and no 24/7 support. Beautiful view and great space to disconnect and unplug as I needed

My only issues were that the ties and clasp were broke on the Tipi (bedroom) and the same Tipi had a little bit of mold present on the fabric. These were not huge concerns but something that needs to be addressed. I did have a discussion with the maintenance person before we departed and they stated these concerns would be addressed. He was more concerned about water getting into the Tipi because of the rain which was truly not an issue. The property is well maintained and the bathroom was really clean.

We loved the property but it is not worth the price! The arrival and check in process is clumsy at best and there is ZERO information in the many emails and messages received from the property. I was having to call or message about WiFi, how to operate the AC units, where was this and where was that because NO information was shared in all the emails and messages and there was NO information in the unit. On top of this, Waze sent us to the wrong place but we could see the property and finally found the entrance. Who doesn't work with the map services to insure proper directions for their guests????

Me & my boyfriend booked The Birds Nest for 2 nights. The concept was cool but our bedroom was very hot during the day, even with our AC unit blowing. It would’ve been nice to have some type of curtains/blinds to roll down when the sun beams. It would only feel cool/comfortable when the sun went down & part of the morning. I think this particular room is better during the cooler seasons if you are sensitive to heat, & want to fully enjoy each outdoor floor. The little coffee maker provided had a tiny bit of green algae growth in the corners of the water container, due to the sun beaming in. I think my boyfriend noticed black mold growth inside the AC unit. The fire pit on the roof top didn’t work so it were a little disappointed when sitting out at night. Our private bathroom/shower was part of the public restroom hallway, so you have to make trips up/down the stairs to go there. It was pretty clean but i wasn’t a big fan of the shower as the floor is a flat surface, & i had to lay down an extra towel to avoid too much water splashing out. We had one extension cord to use in our room so you need to use the other wall outlets if you have multiple items to plug up. Thankfully we only had to deal with wasps sneaking into our room as far as bugs go. Other than that, the experience was cool & i liked that our spot was separated more from the other rooms. They provided robes & some cards/games to enjoy which was cute!

While I understand that intermittent issues can happen at any property, the sequence of events during my stay was unacceptable.Upon arrival, it was pouring rain. The code worked at the first entrance, but the second entry code failed. I was left stranded in the pouring, blowing rain. Because there were no live attendants on-site in the late afternoon, I used the property's text service. It took 30 minutes to get a response. Out of growing frustration from being soaked and cold, I also contacted Expedia, who reached out to the owners on my behalf. In total, it took an hour and a half to finally gain access to my reserved space.When staff finally arrived, they claimed the lock worked but the electronics had malfunctioned. As someone who owns the exact same lock, I know a wireless reset could have been done much sooner, suggesting a mechanical oversight.Furthermore, upon entering the restroom, we found an unemptied trash can containing used feminine hygiene products. This immediately made us question the cleanliness and sanitation of the entire living space.While the weather was out of the owner's control, the lack of responsiveness, the delayed access, and the poor cleanliness were completely preventable.. If these issues had been addressed, the property would have been a five star venue....other than these issues(which were significant) we enjoyed our stay.
