    Welcome to your perfect vacation getaway in Western North Carolina, a tranquil haven just 9 minutes from the Asheville Airport and nestled between Asheville, Hendersonville, Brevard, and Lake Lure. This fully-furnished, charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath home is thoughtfully designed with a split floor plan, providing privacy and comfort. Cozy up to the wood-burning stove, enjoy the Carolina mountain air with open windows, or cool down with central air conditioning. Savor the serene beauty of the pasture as you dine on the screened-in porch.



    This is a dog-friendly vacation home! We allow 2 dogs to accompany your stay.



    The primary bedroom features an en suite bath, while the remaining two bedrooms share a convenient Jack and Jill bathroom with a tub/shower combination. You’ll find all the modern comforts, including a washer and dryer, WiFi, and a smart TV for your entertainment needs.



    Outside, many families have enjoyed fishing in the pond, hiking the trails surrounding the pasture, and letting the kids play in the creek. There is a level grassy space for enjoying volleyball, badminton, and croquet. Kids go crazy catching fireflies on warm summer nights. Grill out on the patio while enjoying the firepit. Ample parking is available, including space for an RV.

    For adventure seekers, nearby Mills River offers excellent fly fishing opportunities. Mountain biking enthusiasts can tackle the thrilling trails of Pilot Mountain, the many trails on Hwy 276 in Brevard, or north in Bent Creek. Unwind at the Sierra Nevada Brewery with its outdoor music venue or savor the culinary delights of Asheville and Hendersonville. Numerous golf courses, ziplining, and white-water rafting excursions are within easy reach.

  • This property has step leading down into rooms within the property. There are three steps leading from the living room down into the kitchen and each bathroom has 2 steps leading down into them. The standalone shower is not a walk-in shower and does require stepping over and down an entry threshold.

This was a beautiful house for a short getaway! It had everything we needed for fun & relaxation. The kitchen was very well stocked and the backyard provided hours of fun! We would definitely stay here again.

Cute and comfy farmhouse

The property was spacious and easy to find. It was quiet with many outdoor activities. We stayed here for 3 nights and it was comfortable and enjoyable. It felt very homey and was only 30 minutes to downtown Asheville!

What a beautiful rental. Convenient to many towns. Amazing gift basket and hiking the mountain on the property was a beautiful hike. Caught many different fish.

Beautiful home in a gorgeous setting

This home is absolutely lovely! You can tell it's been decorated with care and attention to detail. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, and the outside amenities were perfect for our trip. I would definitely stay here again. It's very unique and obvious that the owners have put a great bit of time and effort into making this former dairy barn into a home.

Awesome country home!

This was a very clean and fantastic old historic farmhouse with a great story. The property is beautiful and there’s lots to do there. We wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the property as we were out and about most of the day. Lots of family games and space to explore. One of a kind rental for sure.

The best!

We absolutely loved this house. Wish we could stay longer! It was one of the most well stocked houses I have ever rented. Very homey- loved the hiking with the dog and the quiet. The only improvement I could suggest is a king sized bed, but having said that the bed was very comfortable- we didn’t use the other beds as it was only my husband and I. We would definitely stay here again and for longer next time!

This is such a cozy serene place... deer abound and nice outdoor space for sitting and relaxing. Its convenient to Asheville without being in it, minutes from Airport, groceries and restaurants are also close by. The vueStay host was very responsive to questions. There were two of us with mobility limitations and I completely missed in pictures that there were a few steps to different rooms, but I also didnt ask which was on me. The local hosts are right next door and were also so accommodating if we needed them. The house itself is adorable with a rich southern farm history making it a unique place to visit. The decor is fabulous for cottage core. They are dog friendly, we had two medic alert dogs with us that were welcomed regardless. There was a sweet barn cat on property that kept trying to visit inside, but we kept him at bay due to allergies and the two service dogs. I would absolutely choose this location over and over except for the interior steps leave me unable to experience all this property offers.

Mountain escape

Beautiful peaceful location. Everywhere we wanted to go was within an easy drive. Grandson loved the fishing pond. Caught many blue gills. Cool temperatures and light breezes were highlight It is an old converted farm building. Well furnished and very functional.

Amazing family getaway!

My husband and I stayed with our two young sons (1 and 3) and it was PERFECT! We enjoyed hiking in Pisgah and other local activities. We also loved the local breweries (Appalachian mountain brewing, Sierra Nevada, and Mills River were a few favorites). The house was better than I even hoped. The property is gorgeous and the fishing pond added an extra activity that we loved! The large yard and fire pit were also used every day. We absolutely loved our stay here!

Wonderful property

We had a great time here for a long weekend getaway! The property was beautiful, we enjoyed sitting in the back yard having coffee in the mornings and fishing in the pond in the evenings. Property was very clean and meticulously maintained! We also enjoyed reading all about the history of the farm. My only suggestion would be that the Vacasa binder in the home be updated. We were a bit confused about some of the check out procedures as there were conflicting instructions in the binder vs. the message you get after you’ve already checked out. Regardless it was a 5 star stay and we would definitely consider returning in the future!

This was the best place for a family get away! Charming home, beautiful scenery, and so much space to explore. We heard turkeys every morning, saw deer each evening and frogs at night. There were plenty of games and activities provided and the owners are friendly and helpful. We definitely plan to return!
