The best area to stay in Horní Lukavice is within the village itself, particularly around the church and main square, as it offers the most convenient access to local amenities and the surrounding countryside.

Horní Lukavice is a small, traditional Czech village, and its appeal lies in its peaceful rural setting. The central area around the Church of Saints Peter and Paul provides a focal point, with a few local guesthouses and a pub or two. You'll find it's very walkable, with country lanes leading directly from the village centre into the fields and forests.

For couples looking for a relaxing escape, staying within the village allows for easy access to gentle walks and the opportunity to experience tranquil village life. You can enjoy the quiet evenings and the simplicity of the countryside, perhaps with a short stroll to a local eatery.

Families will also find the village centre a good base. The lack of heavy traffic makes it easy for children to explore the immediate surroundings, and there are often open spaces nearby for them to enjoy.

The best time to go to Horní Lukavice is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is most pleasant for outdoor activities.

During these months, you'll find comfortable temperatures, generally sunny days, and less chance of extreme heat or cold. This makes it ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside, whether you're interested in walking, cycling, or simply enjoying the natural beauty of the Plzeň Region. The foliage in autumn can be particularly striking, offering beautiful photographic opportunities.

For those planning a trip focused on outdoor pursuits and enjoying the serene landscape, these periods offer the best conditions.
