We booked in advance and had a non - refundable booking. A very good price, though we noted that others who arrived under different booking arrangements paid significantly more. BOOK EARLY! There is a good shuttle from the airport though there is a short walk at north terminal to catch it. The hotel was good. Staff were courteous to travel weary customers. The room was not too small nor too large. Duvets and mattresses were great. The bar was busy but cheerful (world cup rugby England vers. Wales on TV) The restaurant was pleasant though not too exciting but what I would expect at an airport hotel. Perhaps we were a little surprised to find bottles of water on the tables for 3 GPS each. The profits go to a good cause but I still like tap water with ice!
Overall we had a good stay at a good price and an excellent night's sleep.
Lovely hotel short walk from station and town centre.
Ate in the evening food and service excellent
Transport to the airport for both of us £6, excellent value
Only problem we has ground floor front room, traffic from the road was a bit noisy.

-Lovely hotel in quaint old building, set in pretty gardens.
-Spacious bedroom overlooking rose garden. Bed moderately comfortable. Surprisingly quiet despite hum of planes taking off from nearby Gatwick.
-Bathroom compact but thoughtfully laid out. Bath could do with some attention: surrounding little tiles had mostly lost their grouting.
-Interesting meal though have had better at lower prices.
-Easy to get to London via train (Horley or Gatwick stations).
This is a lovely home near Gatwick Airport. It was perfectly located for us on our last night before flying out of England. The room was comfortable and clean. The owners were pleasant and helpful. It was a great breakfast with the best scrambled eggs we were served on our entire trip.

The hosts were very supportive of my late arrival, my needing to charge my phone... (fortunately they found a Blackberry charger), and my circumstances - I had missed a flight from another airport due to gridlock in London. For a night or two this is a really accessible and comfortable option. Bus 100 does go from the airport to the village of Horley, and one can arrange a taxi from inside the airport at a cost of £9.00 as I write. Finding Masslink Guest House, was a blessing after a very tough and drama-filled day. And the next day, my hosts drove me to the airport, an option the hosts include in the price.

Traditionally an agricultural town, Horley is located on the River Mole in southeast England. With the recent development of high-speed trains, the area has become a popular residence for London commuters. It is also just 2 miles (3 km) away from Gatwick, London’s second major airport. Visitors are drawn to Horley for outdoor activities including tennis, nature walks, and garden festivals.
