The best area to stay in Horka for most travellers is around the main square, Náměstí Míru, and the streets immediately surrounding it.

This central area offers the most convenience and access to local amenities. Náměstí Míru itself is a pleasant public space, often hosting local markets or events, and it's where you'll find the Horka Town Hall. The surrounding streets, such as Palackého and Komenského, are home to a selection of local shops, cafes, and restaurants. It's a very walkable part of town, making it easy to explore on foot.

For couples looking for a relaxed and central base, staying near Náměstí Míru is ideal. You'll be within easy reach of the local eateries for evening meals and can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the town's historic centre.

The best time to visit Horka is typically from late spring to early autumn, specifically May through September, when the weather is most pleasant for outdoor activities.

During these months, you can expect warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours, making it ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside, enjoying walks, or cycling along the numerous paths. The natural beauty of the Pardubice Region is particularly appealing during this period.

Families often find July and August particularly convenient for a visit, as school holidays allow for extended stays. The local lakes and outdoor areas are at their best for swimming and picnicking, providing a relaxed holiday experience.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape might prefer May, June, or September. The weather is still lovely, but there are fewer visitors, offering a more tranquil experience.
