"We loved EVERYTHING. Friendly and useful staff, beautiful and peaceful surroundings, the cottage was spacious and clean, and supplied with sufficient equipment (including a recent dishwasher and quite comfortable beds). Only 20 minutes away from Amsterdam if you fancy a visit , but Volendam itself is definitely worth exploring. We highly recommend this place ."

When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. "Lovely apartment in De Pijp. Amit was there to check us in and out and communication was smooth. The listing stated there was a washer and dryer. Unfortunately there was no dryer and it took a couple of days in a damp climate to dry our clothes. The apartment wasn’t dirty and if it were somewhere I lived, I would consider it mostly clean, however it wasn’t as spick and span as one would hope for at hotel or vrbo. "
