We loved our time at the cabin! It was well stocked so we cooked and stayed in for every meal. Deer were everywhere which my daughter loved so much. Access to the playground and lake front was so lovely. Everything was clean and cozy. Host was responsive as well. We will be back!
The place was overall very nice! We loved having 2 working fireplaces. We made frequent use of them. The house was cozy, the beds were comfy. We loved how close it is Lake Cushman and Olympic National Park. One of the neighbors was also very friendly and helpful. He feeds deer every day and let us feed them, too. We've never been close enough to touch a live deer. It was amazing!!
We loved being walking distance from the lake and a short drive from hiking destinations such as Mt Ellinor and Big Creek. The house had everything we needed for meal prep. After long days of exploring it was great to wind down with some board games, ping pong, and Netflix. Also fun to watch does and fawns cruise by during the evenings. The washer and dryer are fast and large capacity. Skokomish Park is a short drive for renting kayaks and standup paddle boards (the property has 2 kayaks but we didn't have a way to transport them to the lake). Only thing we'd change is that we wished there wasn't so much pet hair, especially in the daylight basement. Otherwise, highly recommend.
The pros: Great location close to park and boat launch. Nice, quiet neighborhood. The cabin is very cozy and all the windows bring in gorgeous light and beautiful views. The beds were awesome! So comfortable!
The cons: BBQ was not connected to the hardline so unable to use, as we had no tools to hook up. That changed our dinner plans drastically.
Could not use the outside fire pit because all the propane tanks were empty. There were no patio chairs/furniture or table outside.
The ping pong paddles were broken (except one) but no ping pong balls anyway, so that was disappointing as well.

Not luxurious as described in title
We had an overall OK stay at this cabin. Great location on a private lake.
The house itself was far from luxurious as described. There were lots of repairs that need to be done inside and out and it wasn’t very clean. There were no comfortable chairs to sit on outdoors. In fact the two that were there had holes in the seats making them unusable! You will need to bring all of accessories a house usually stocks such as salt, zip loc bags, tinfoil, kleenex, tupperware and a hamper as they don’t stock those items. I would definitely stay at this lake again but just choose a different house to stay in.
Very comfortable stay near the activities we wanted to do!
Communication with the owner was lightning fast and accurate and helpful. This home was very comfortable. I would not say “luxurious” as the listing stated, but the location was wonderful and we had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. We were greeted within minutes of arrival by a friendly neighbor, Dennis. Dennis is a national treasure and should be protected at all costs! He tends several herds of deer and offered us some apples to feed them. The deer lend a cozy quaintness. This location is quiet and tucked away, but close to the lake and trails. We used the available kayaks along with our SUPs to paddle to lake with some friends. Staircase rapids trail ONP is ~20 minutes away and there are many other great hiking opportunities within a half hour drive. The home was well equipped with kitchen items, a gas grill and gas fire pit. WiFi worked seemlessly our entire stay. Overall this was a great home for our vacation!

Spacious, Needs Improvements
We booked this stay hoping for a secluded lake experience. The house is spacious and near the lake, however we encountered a few problems during our stay. Be aware that you must screenshot check in code in advance of driving there as service is limited around the property and you will not be able to access your email. When we first arrived, there was a sewer smell coming from the water, and the owner indicated that the house had not had an occupant for a while. The smell improved after running the water for a while. We did find dishes still in the dishwasher, clothes in the dryer, and human and pet hair in the bedding leading us to believe the house was not fully cleaned prior to us checking in. There is an RV parker close to the house, and because of the large windows it doesn’t feel very private when guests are there. Positives of the place included that it was very spacious, close to Staircase trail, and deer were in the yard.
Had a great time here! The cabin has everything you need for a great trip to Lake Cushman/Olympic National Park. Great neighborhood and proximity to the park is fantastic. Bed was comfy. We would recommend!
I tried to do a 5 star rating but it wouldn’t change from 4 to 5 stars. Some small things - The shampoo container in the main bathroom doesn’t work properly. The lower bunk bed would be more comfortable with a mattress pad so that the mattress buttons aren’t felt. A 6th soup bowl would be nice. We had another nice stay at your place and plan to return again. Thank you!
From check-in to check-out, this property was perfect. This mountain cabin has a well-stocked kitchen, wonderful bedding and extra blankets, plenty of towels, and so much space. Our family of 8 (plus doggie) had such a relaxing and enjoyable visit here. We hope to be able to return someday.
My family of five had a wonderful stay. The house was secluded from the neighbors, though there were other homes and folks surrounding the property. Everything was as described.
Came to the area to attend family 80th bday party. Cabin was very nice, everything we needed, private, nice neighbors, clean and comfortable. Would love to stay there again. Thank you!
This was my family's cabin growing up, so it was beyond nostalgic to come visit! The place is exactly how I remember it with the only negative change being the outdoor fire pit is now a gas fire - how dare you! lol. The cabin is about a 10 min walk to the Beach park and Lake, and the whole division feels so welcoming and cozy. We had a (real) fire going most days in the massive fireplace and even roasted a mallow or two. There was even a family of 7 or 8 deer that came through the property each day we were there. So so cool to see.We plan on staying here again, most likely in the summer next time. Highly recommend this place, it is a perfect cabin getaway, but i might be slightly biased :)
The location was great. We enjoyed being so close to the lake and playground. Also close to the National Park. The house had all the necessities. Issues that did arise were responded to promptly by owner. It was a comfortable house to be in for a week with the 5 of us.
