"Renovating but georgeous rooms"
Great location along the bigger beaches of Waikiki. So much to do and many options for dining. The hotel itself is going through major renovations. Although construction constricts amenities, the rooms are completed and very clean beatiful and comfortably modern.

"One night in Waikiki"
This hotel is located a few blocks from the beach and suited us fine for our overnight layover. Facilities and rooms were functional and clean, but aged and rough around the edges. We slept there after a late arrival, had them hold our bags for the morning while we explored the beach and Diamond Head before continuing on to our destination. I found it expensive for what it offered, but within the context of Waikiki Beach, it was one of the lower priced options, and for that reason a good value.

"Great location - great service! "
I have traveled to Hawaii (primarily Honolulu) over 80 times throughout the years. First time at this property. Dave at the Front Desk made sure I had a very nice quiet room and the location is outstanding. I will be back again!

"Nice hotel close to the beach. "
This hotel was conveniently located in the heart of Waikiki. The beach was crowded, but nice. Our main complaint with the hotel is their elevator system. It is a very annoying, inconvenient and un-efficient set of elevators. We often waited 10 minutes for an elevator! That is crazy! The rooms are very comfortable, but the sounds of construction starting at 5am, are not the way I want to be woken up in Hawaii. The pool is small, but fine, as it is steps from the beach. My only complaint is that people line up at 7am to "reserve" a beach chair around the pool...despite a sign that says "no reserving of chairs", so by 8 am, there are no seats to be had. And I also think it's crazy that the hotel doesn't provide chairs free of charge to their clients! Especially when we pay the $30/day resort fee! Personally, this is not my style of stay while in Hawaii, I prefer a condo with cooking capability, so this is a slightly biased review :)

"great room with a view, otherwise so so"
We booked an ocean view room and it was spectacular. We were in 1424 and we could see Diamond Head and a lot of ocean from our balcony (14th floor, 18th is top). We had read reviews where folks complained of the wind noise - and we did have noticeable "whistling" on the front door (not balcony) - we found it tolerable. The beaches across the street were nice: to the right is the "kid pool" with a breakwater, all sand, and nothing deeper than 5 feet, to the left some waves but the reef was very close in and sharp (typical Hawaii) so no wave play. It is probably good snorkeling if the conditions are right. The on premise restaurants did not look promising - we only did breakfast at Lulu's a couple of times. The service was very slow but the kitchen was good - which describes our experience in Waikiki in general. At breakfast I expect someone to be running around offering coffee right away and keeping the cup full as you wait & eat. Not the way business is done at Lulu's, or at the Kulana Terrace at the Queen Kapiolani that we tried one morning (they had a buffet, which we should have done). Our best dinner was take-out from the Waikiki Beachside Kitchen eaten on the balcony. The service was so much friendlier and faster than Wolfgang Pucks (Wolfgang's was OK). Strangely they don't do room service at the Park Shore, though there are lots of places you can order out to and services you can go through. Dinner at Tiki's Bar and Grill next door: good food, slow service & not noisy.

"Great hotel for the money!"
We stayed at the hotel for two nights and enjoyed ourselves immensely! The staff was professional, kind and made you feel welcome. Our room was very clean and looked exactly like the picture represented when we booked the trip. We booked the Waikiki view and had an excellent view with a partial view of the ocean and the Ala Wai canal. The location is perfect for people who like to walk everywhere and it is a very safe neighborhood. If you are looking for a fancy hotel with lots of amenities than this is not the place for you but if you are looking for a clean hotel in a great location that doesn't break the bank with outstanding staff than this is the place to stay.

"An enjoyable experience"
There are a lot of much nicer hotels in the area of Waikiki beach but this one was less expensive and was very nice. The hotel has great views and is right on the beach, zoo, and near the aquarium. Maintenance of the hotel is good as was the cleanness of the hotel. The staff was a little stiff but very workable. I will stay there again.
