"This was a perfect place to stay. The host couple are incredibly kind and caring. You can tell they truly put their heart into taking care of the whole property. The room was very clean and spacious. Everything was well prepared — TV, microwave, coffee, towels, extra blankets — all thoughtfully provided. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Occasionally, their rescued little cats would stop by to say hello, which made the stay even more special. This is definitely a place I would come back to again. "

"This peaceful location was perfect for our week stay in Honoka'a. The house has an incredible view of the ocean, and everything we needed for our stay was provided by the host. The house is closer to the road than we had imagined, but the traffic is not too busy and it is quiet at night. We enjoyed fresh fruit harvested on the property every day. We especially enjoyed watching the birds, and we identified many colorful species. this is a great place to stay if you plan to visit the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island. "

"As advertised, the staff is exemplary! All you need to do is ask and a member of the staff will fulfill your request quickly. We had a problem with our TV and they replaced the entire TV in about 15 minutes. The staff has a sense of pride when it comes to making sure everything works at Mauna Kea and that all of your needs are met! Our room was meticulously cleaned daily and again, you can ask housekeeping for anything and they will respond to the request promptly. You won't find a better beach than the one at Mauna Kea Beach. It's an all sand beach as far as you can walk out into the ocean. I highly recommend the Mauna Kea Beach hotel and will return there in the future. "
