Nice short stay
Very good location, bed is very comfortable, it is disappointed on bedding. It should use duvet cover not two bed sheets. It is a mess. It is very surprise the hotel provide smartphone that can use outside hotel free of charges.

Very Friendly Staff
Pros: Overall stay is satisfactory. Rooms are better than expected. Very friendly and experienced staff. Cons: Some tourists smoke in non-smoking area and affected others since smoke pass through ventilation to our rooms.

Water running out from the shower room.
Water will be running out from the shower room when you are taking shower. It's impossible to stop the water leaking out and whole bath room will be wet. All the rooms are with the same problem so they can only send us more towels. Hotel front desk staff are very unfriendly and their faces are shown very unwillingly to answer our question.

Convenient location
Hotel is situated at a convenient location, close to the MTR station and a lot of good eateries. The lady who cleaned our room was very nice and greeted us everytime we saw her in the hallway. She also did a good job at cleaning our room. However, some of the front desk staff could do a better job by greeting hotel guests more consistently. The lady who helped us with check-in was very nice though. The design of the bathroom is poor in my opinion; water was leaking underneath the carpet. We tried to use the overhead shower but it was a bad idea because water was splashing all over. The hotel room is small but typical in HK. It doesn't bother us as it is big enough for two persons. There are no facilities at the hotel at all if you anticipate to utilize the gym, swimming pool, etc. Overall, the hotel was not bad for its cost but didn't think it is a four star hotel quality compared to other four star hotels whiche I've stayed in HK before.

HK Trip
On the 2nd day workmen started jack hammering in the next room. When I clled to complain front desk said they were doing emergency repairs that would take two days. I asked why I wasn't notified and also asked to switch room (they did not offer voluntarily), which they did. Note that the above happened after the bathroom door leaked during the first day I was there. There was a big gap between the Bth rm door frame and door itself, thus casuig. The leak. They offered to put me in another room, but I decided to just use more towels to block the water. The more I think about it the less I like the quality of the hotel maintenance services.

The hotel is well located in area with plenty of eateries. There is also the free shuttle bus to the HK airport station conveniently located just opposite the hotel.

Great stay near CWB
The hotel is a short walk fr tin hau station but if u are into walking, u can easily walk to causeway bay fr the hotel within 15mins.

4 Day Stop !
This is the 3rd time during the last 12 months I stayed at this hotel. Great location as it is very near to the Metro Tin Hau. On the last day of the trip I just discovered there is a complementary shuttle service if you use the airport express train to Hong Kong Station stop. The shuttle bus stopped right outside the hotel and I will use this shuttle bus next time when I go to Hong Kong again. This will save me 2 trip of taxi fare from HK Station to hotel. And I will stay at Empire again

So dirty carpet!
Maybe lack of regular cleaning plan, the carpet is extremely dirty. So I request to change the room. Although the room is located at HIGH floor, it is still very very dirty on the carpet. I will not recommend the friend to stay this hotel anymore.

I made a mistake in reservation, having mistaken this hotel for another nicer one nearby. I chose the hotel for its proximity to Causeway Bay. Unfortunately, the hotel is situated opposite to a sanitary station (building for garbage drop off). In addition to garbage, the street is full of dust from the vehicles passing by. The hotel itself does not look dirty, but somehow the furniture and carpet feels old and unclean. I felt relieved after I left the place. I shall definitely get a higher price hotel next time. Although the hotel is not foe me, but it is a good and affordable choice for students and young people.

Great place and great staff
The room is clean and nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Some other guests smoked in a non-smoking floor and the smoke went into my room. The next day the cleaning staff has done tremendous job as if nothing ever happened. Extremely positive experience with this hotel and I will definitely come back.

The lighting of the hotel public area is all dark particularly inside the lift - it's hard to see to press the correct floor button. Wifi is free but you have a hard time conecting it inside your room!

it's OK overall
Pros location is good, close to subway, shopping mall, and many restaurants. Room is clean Has free WiFi, hair dryer, and security box. Magic glass is cool Cons You can not open the window. No fresh air. Staffs are misleading. We wanted to go to Shenzhen Bay, they told us a routine to Huanggang, a place is 2hours away from Shenzhen bay. We had to stand in the rain, took half hous to find the taxi, spent extra 700HK dollars.

The room we stayed in was ok, the city view was not a view of the city, but views of buildings in front of the hotel. The.magic glass was not working.in our room. Location and price is good. Will stay here again.

Excellent value for money!
I only stayed there for 2 days for my brief visit to HongKong. Location is great as it is very close to the Metro(Underground)-Tin Hau in HongKong Island- North Point/Causeway Bay border. Only minor reservation is that the front of the hotel is almost directly opposite a Municipal Refuse station/ public lavatory as the hotel is in a side street not on the busy main road! This is unfortunate but should not deter you from choosing this hotel as it did not lower any of my personal experience from the hotel. (This location can be put into +ve use as an unusual holiday experience of your trip-even something to talk about!) The lighting at reception was very atmospheric in keeping with their design but I prefer it to be brighter ! Very friendly staff and excellent value for money.

Good Basic Hotel
The hotel is located close to many restaurants and is one block from a subway stop. However, because of the demonstrations currently going on in Hong Kong, some of the streets were closed and the free airport shuttle was not running so I had to pay for a cab to get from the Airport Express train station to the hotel.

My stay at the Empire Causeway Bay
This is my first stay at ECB, and my overall impression is good to very good. They upgraded my room due to long stay (over a week), otherwise be prepared for a smaller and cramped room. The staff are efficient and did their job, but the housekeeping is inconsistent. This hotel and my guess is that most hotels in HKG are now overrun by Chinese mainlanders, so be prepared for large and noisy crowds and jam-packed elevators. They don't believe in waiting for the next elevator.

new, clean hotel, a bit small but has everything in there. incredible view of kowloon bay from your overhead window, you can see the skyscraper view from your room. helpful staff. many dessert shops around hotel. 7 min walk from MTR tin hua station.

Great value and location
We received a free upgrade, so the room size was reasonably comfortable. The hotel location is excellent, within 5 minutes walk to the Tin Hau MTR. There are many eateries surrounding the hotel. The free airport express to HK station is just opposite the hotel. Hotel is highly recommended if you are looking for something with good value and away from the hustle and bustle, but without being compromised!

Decent Stay
I stayed a week. The location is great - three minute walk to the MTR; lots of nice little restaurants all around. On the down side, the internet connection was shoddy. They had to bring a router in my room because the reception was so sporadic (points for that) but even then it didn't always work. Convenient location; I would stay here again - just fix the internet!

Compared with other 4-star hotels, this accommodation needs to improve its service as well as its facilities. Making up or turn down service does not reach an international standard before claiming a 4-star award, spotting toilet, forgot offering shampoo, body lotion, replacing used glass, cup. Oh, please bring your own earplug to dodge noisy fan of a/r or loud chatting you can hear from your neighbors, good luck!!

The Empire Was Great
The location was a little out of the way. However, you were very close to the subway so was not a problem.. The room was large and comfortable with a great bathroom and shower. However, it was all glass and could be difficult if you were sharing the room. You have no privacy if you were with someone else. The staff was great and I would stay there again.
