"Homer Stunner!!
I've been coming to Homer for over 30 years and this property has the best view of the Bay that I've seen. The well equipped property was a delightful home base for our family. Having coffee in the spa overlooking a glacier does not get old. Enjoying the fire pit in the evening also added to the overall experience. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a special Homer experience."

Playful Ravens: A Luxurious Family Retreat with Heart-Enriching Views

Welcome to Playful Ravens, an elegant family home perched above stunning views that can be enjoyed from nearly every window, the expansive deck, or while soaking in the hot tub. Located just 15 minutes from downtown Homer, this peaceful retreat offers quick access to all the charm and activities the area has to offer.

One of our favorite pastimes is watching the sunrise or sunset from the spectacular deck, and we’re sure you’ll love it too. Whether you’re soaking in the hot tub, warming up in the sauna, or gathering around the fire pit, this home provides countless ways to create lasting memories with family and friends.

With four spacious bedrooms, there’s plenty of room for privacy and comfort. The movie room, complete with a cozy couch which transforms into a comfortable bed and a wall of books, is perfect for streaming your favorite shows or relaxing after a day of adventures. For deeper relaxation, enjoy the four-person infrared sauna.

The fully equipped kitchen is a cook’s dream, featuring All-Clad pans, a double convection oven, and a large fridge/freezer—ideal for crafting memorable meals. And if you reel in a fresh catch during your stay, it’ll make the perfect centerpiece for dinner!

The side yard’s large fire pit is perfect for gathering around in the evenings to share drinks, stories, and lasting memories.

Playful Ravens earned its name from the air currents surrounding the bluff, creating a haven for birds. Eagles, ravens, and hawks often soar and play on the breezes—nature at its finest.

The Master Suite
The luxurious master suite features a king-sized bed, a spacious bathroom with a glass-block and tiled double shower, and a private north-facing balcony perfect for taking in the breathtaking views. It also includes a lofted seating area with a loveseat, chair, and Smart TV.

Main Floor: A cozy bedroom with a full-size log bed and an adjacent full bathroom with a tub/shower.

Cabin with a great view

Everything was just great with the property. From the time we arrived until we left. We had 8 people and there was plenty of room and beds. The view off the back deck is absolutely stunning. It over looks the Homer Spit with Peaks and Glaciers in the backdrop. The kitchen was great we made several meals and had everything we needed. Definitely would recommend.

Amazing property and views!

We travelled with 8 people (3 adults and 5 kids) and were more than comfortable all together in this house. The kids had an amazing time playing outside, games inside, enjoying the hot tub, etc. We would all stay here for every Homer travel visit just to sit on that deck and take in Alaska.

Beautiful Alaskan style!

I like it when something can be beautiful without looking like it's in competition with the beauty around it. This home is indeed beautiful but blends with the stunning landscape. We were very happy with our stay. The house is as advertised. Keep in mind that the master is a loft, no doors for privacy or blackout shades for the long days. Everything was great, even when we needed batteries for the tv remote, manager showed up with new ones. 👍 The view could not be any better, gorgeous!!

House is amazing

The house was amazing. Kitchen stocked with all equipment you might need. Hot tub big and relaxing. Greeted by a moose and her babies one day in the driveway. Fishing and bear watching, even with rain, were fun and great. Birdwatching was good.

Hands Down the Best!

We have stayed in so many VRBO rentals, but the view from this cabin is just the best. We drove up and were overcome with excitement, stepping on the deck gave us chills. We stayed on the deck looking at the view for the whole first day. This house was perfect for our group of 8, ranging from 7 to 70. It was so comfortable, had everything we needed. Hope to visit again sometime soon!

Amazing anniversary trip

This was an important trip for us so we rented more than a year ahead. Paula was great. She answered all of our questions and provided great info on local restaurants and which vendors and guides we should use. The house was beautiful with plenty of room for our 3 couples, and every amenity you could want. The view is even more amazing than the pictures show. We have used Vrbo for 10 years and this was our best experience yet.

Stunning home with AMAZING views!

We had an amazing time in this beautiful home! It felt so comfy and cozy that we never wanted to leave! The deck with the hot tub is so relaxing at the end of the day, the kids loved relaxing it in too! We saw a Moose with 2 babies right off of the deck on numerous occasions. This home had plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy! Paula and Becky were great to work with! They checked in with me a couple times to make sure everything was going well. We all hope to be back soon!

Breathtaking views

Our 4 night stay at the Playful Ravens home was definitely the highlight of our 11 day trip to Alaska. This home is equipped with everything you will need. It is extremely comfortable and welcoming, and Paula and Jon have thought of everything you might need for your stay. The views from the deck of the bay are indescribably breathtaking, and the hot tub is an absolute bonus after a long day of hiking. The DVD selection is expansive for that rainy day when you just want to curl up an watch a classic. Thanks for a great stay in Homer!

Trip of a lifetime!

Our family met from all parts of the globe to stay at Playful Ravens, a beautiful and comfortable home with spectacular views of mountains, glaciers and Katchemak Bay. We caught halibut in the ocean and prepared delectable family meals in the fabulous kitchen. Relaxing in the hot tub on the deck in the evenings looking out at the amazing views was a particular favorite experience for everyone. The resources and recommendations provided by our hosts were excellent. There are so many things see and experience in the Homer area! We created many lifetime memories and would love to return again!

This place was AMAZING. The property lived up to everything that Paula had promised. The property was clean and well maintained. We immediately felt at home. The weather was not our friend during our stay at Homer, but this property made the stay a success. We enjoyed being able bake, use the hot tub, and fire ring. More AMAZING than expected

4 of us stayed for 7 nights. Paula & Jon have EXCELLENT communication with their guests and their manager Tessa does the same while caring for the home! The views will blow you away and you will never get tired of looking out. We stayed so busy with all there is to do in town and on the Homer Spit that we never turned on a TV or had time to enjoy the sauna. We would recommend this home to anyone. Amazing Property with Wonderful Owners

From the beginning of booking the reservation, the homeowner Paula was extremely accommodating and helpful.. She even mailed us (with notes) months in advance of our stay things to do in the area. I knew my family would be in good hands.. We had a minor hiccup with our check in, (no fault of home owners)but the home owners quickly responded and resolved our issues to our satisfaction. They truly treat you like an extension of their family while staying here.. The views are breathtaking and the home has all you need. It was a very relaxing vacation and my son even walked away with 106lb halibut from the trip! We will most definitely stay here again! This is truly a 5 star property

Breathtaking Views

What a wonderful house. It is all the description said it was and more. The view is panoramic and sweeping of the bay and snow capped mountains. Absolutely breathtaking. Paula was great to talk to and Nancy, the house Manager took excellent care of us. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with excellent cookware, spices etc. so we took advantage of it and cooked some delicious dinners. From the deck you can see one of the glaciers which sparked our interest so we took a trip across the bay and hiked in to the lake at the foot of it. I can't imagine anyone finding a better home for a stay in Homer.
