"Upon arrival we were told the hotel was completely sold out. I told the concierge that I booked a room 2 weeks ago to which he replied ah yes we have one room left. I asked if it was partial ocean view since that’s what I booked. He told us the rooms are first come first serve it had a view but of the parking lot. It was my daughter’s 20th birthday. That was first disappointment. We went up to the room my daughter entered the bathroom which she couldn’t close the door too because it was rubbing on the frame. She lifted the toilet seat and discovered diahrea all over the seat. It was disgusting. I went to the phone to call downstairs but the phone was dead. I didn’t bother going downstairs but took pics of toilet and door. Room also was very musty and humid. We went downstairs to the ocean side for a few hours then when we came back the ac cooled the room so it was better. The sheets had stains. We flipped them over and just went to sleep. There was also hair around the sink in the bathroom. This was so embarrassing for me since I wanted to treat my family to a nice ocean view hotel. We checked out in the morning and went to the beach. It was the first and the last time we will be staying there. I would like my refund of the key cash we used. My credit card company already refunded us for the stay upon receiving the pictures and our statement. "

"Unfortunately , our experience at Ocean Beach Club Hotel was not great. When we first arrived, we were suprised by how dark our room was. There are no ceiling lights! Just the single bedside lamp and two very dim wall lights. unfortunately the window was very small too so not much sunlight could come in. We had trouble just seeing our clothes in our suitcases even in the middle of the day! Luckily we weren't planning on spending much time in the room so that was fine. Moreover, there was only one mirror in the room. For most people that's probably not an issue! But if you're on a girls trip, as was I, it sucks! lol. we actually ended up going to target and buying another mirror so we could get ready at the same time ! Unfortunately, the washroom was also tiny and the water in the shower did not get hot! The shower was actually cold. The walls are very thin as well, so noise was unfortunately an issue. There is also no housekeeping;however if you call the front desk for anything (i.e fresh towels) they bring them immediately ! On the bright side, the location is amazing and just across the street from the beach, the pool is not too busy (and it's heated, warmer than the showers lol) and there are many great cafes and restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. Overall we did not have an incredible experience at this hotel, and we would most likely not stay here again. You get what you pay for - i probably shouldn't even complain when the price is this low in peak season!"

"The property is well kept but they could have made better design decisions during their recent renovation. Particularly in the bathrooms. They are very small but that wasn't my issue. The showers only have a half glass wall so water either gets all over the floor or you have to squeeze in the corner close to the shower head. It would have been much better to make it a sliding door or just hang shower curtains. Also there's no exhaust vent and you can't open the window so it gets super humid and moist. I would also point out that the big window that shows your entire room does not have the privacy sheers under the heavy curtain so you cant even open them otherwise people walking by can see clearly and directly into your room. Also of note, you can kind of see it in the photos but the beds are very close to the door. Overall its an ok hotel. Not sure I'd come back due to the bathroom, but maybe its better if you have a bigger suite. I had the two double beds with kitchenette. Or maybe I'd come back if all my other preferred choices were sold out. Its not like its undoable. Again, property is very clean and staff was very nice. I left my watch buy the pool and was able to recover it from the front desk several hours later when I realized I didn't have it. I didn't try the food so I can't comment on that."

"I absolutely loved the location of this place it was perfect however the “hotel” gave motel vibes there was black mold in the ceiling bathroom. When we got there the toilet was clogged…the front desk sent someone to fix it. We left to dinner and came back to water all over the bathroom floor. The location is perfect."
