About this property

Pay for 3, stay for 30! ~ Historic Home Close To Several Lake Michigan Beaches!

  • We warmly welcome you to 1920 and the Hideout, first established back when Lakeshore Drive was just a two-track road seldom traveled by anyone other than the isolated cottagers randomly dotted along the gold coast shoreline of Lake Michigan.

This infamous historic home has housed bootleggers and gangsters alike back from the prohibition era! Now you too, can eat, sleep, and live where they once did! And better still, you can enjoy the amazing amenities of the Holland area that they never had!

The Hideout has been restored back to its original condition of 1920. Much of the furniture and decor has been authenticated, appraised, and documented. Our passion is to have our guests step back in time to see and feel what it would have been like to set foot in the Hideout back during the prohibition era!

Tucked along Holland’s scenic lakeshore, this furnished 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage captures the warmth and charm of simpler times — cozy, inviting, and thoughtfully updated for comfort. Enjoy lazy mornings, beach days, and peaceful evenings on your covered back patio surrounded by nature.

In accordance with municipal regulations, this home is offered as a monthly rental. While guests are welcome to enjoy shorter stays within that month (with a 5-night minimum), the reservation reflects a monthly rate. This allows us to remain fully compliant while still offering flexibility for your visit. If you’re able to stay longer, you’re welcome to enjoy the full month at no additional cost.
