"Nice and comfy place that looks just as good in person as it does online. It was a great location for a simple one night stay in northern Wisconsin. Everything is great north of Highway 8!"

"Hotel was clean, including lobby, dining area and room. The staff was helpful and available. Wi-Fi included The (complimentary) breakfast area was very clean, Food was as expected for a bfast buffet (waffles, biscuits & gravy, eggs, cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. ). Very nice that this is still included with room.
Location was good and felt safe.
The standard room I had (2 queens) was acceptable, but a bit over-priced ($155/midweek, back side of hotel facing car wash---not really a big deal, since I was only staying 1 night and there was no noticeable noise or traffic jams), but still...? Bed was not comfortable, pillows were flat lumps, and comforter was a bit tired-looking (maybe they wash/clean it more often??? This could be good? Bathroom was dated, but clean. Shower/bath was ok, but showed signs of rust/mold on ceiling. Otherwise, floor, toilet, sink were spotless.
TV was almost worthless. Yes, it had all the Cable channels + HBO (not a smart TV), but sound was throttled down so low, that when the air unit ran, could not hear TV. I'm old, I need a bit of volume. Maybe that was why Hotel was peacefully quiet in the evening/night???
I would only recommend, because this is the only hotel in town."
"If possible I would give this hotel 0 stars but I have to give it 1 star. I booked this hotel through Expedia and got trip insurance just in case my family visiting from across the world had a delay. When I attempted to call to cancel or change my stay, a freshly graduated 18 year old from the school I teach at said she was unable to do anything on her end to help, didn’t have a manager answering, and didn’t have advice for me. (I don’t blame the child as I know she is smart, she clearly had poor supervisors).
When I got the key to my room, I entered and immediately was hit in the face with the smell of water damage and mold. When I went to inform the front desk the same girl said they were booked out. I have a severe allergy to mold, and needed to take my inhaler from 2 minutes in the dirty room. I asked for a manager to call me as I would not be staying there and wanted a refund for the room. I never got a call back, and my family paid almost $400 plus the cost of another hotel 20 miles away because of the mold."
Aurora is a 3-bedroom house in Holcombe. A year-round playground for all!
10/10 Excellent
"We love this house and the obviously chef-equipped kitchen. The location is wonderful, that is if you enjoy seeing numerous deer, wild turkeys, and the large bunny who lives in the back yard. We highly recommend the property and the owners!"
Cozy family & pet friendly lake home, great reviews & rates
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful place for a vacation. Lots of room indoors & out. Loved the fact that there were no steps to climb up and down to reach the lake. I had several of my Brothers, Sisters & their spouses come to visit with us and we are all in our late 60's -early 70's so this was a blessing. The Host was very good about communicating if we had a question. This was a beautiful place that filled all of our needs. Will definitely keep it in mind for another stay."
"This is a slightly older hotel. Rooms are small but clean. Beds were comfortable enough.
No elevator sadly. But managed to get my steps in!
Pool was very cloudy. But I think it was just over chlorinated.
The only real issue we had was the day the pancake machine stopped working. The front desk employee seemed very annoyed by this and turned it off instead of fixing the issue. Which left a very sad grandchild to deal with."
