Hockinson Carriage House - You Won't Want to Leave

During Covid-19 we enhanced our cleaning and sanitation procedures. We clean with Clorox and wipe frequently touched surfaces with extra attention. While cleaning we wear Nutrile Gloves and wear masks as an additional precautionary measure. We have updated our check-in process and our guest information packet to make it easy and to incorporate social distancing to make you feel safe and comfortable. Recently we added YouTubeTV with Netflix and Prime Video for your enjoyment. 42" Roku Smart TV.
We now include a BBQ as an additional cooking option. Kayaks are down by the pond and ready for use should you choose - fishing is generally good - catch and release only please.
Your stay can be as peaceful and relaxing as you desire. The property invites exploration at your leisure - with walking paths to make it easy and safe. The carriage house is private and comfortable with separate entrance and parking. On a private, paved road the property sits on 5 mostly wooded acres, with a creek, blueberry field, small fruit orchard, fenced raspberry patch, 8 chickens and a two acre pond. You are only a mile from the little town of Hockinson with a store, gas station and a tap room. You are 6 miles from the town of Battleground which offers all services and a neat downtown for shopping, antiquing, winery and multiple restaurant options We are 30 minutes from the Portland Airport and 30 minutes to downtown Portland. This property is in a beautiful country setting and the room is comfortable, well furnished and clean. The wifi is excellent...and needed, due to no cell service by our provider. The grounds are so pretty and nicely maintained. We would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

We enjoyed our stay as it was warm and comforting. Easy to relax and let the outside world go. The setting is surrounded by pines, lovely garden, and a tranquil lake. Rowyn is a helpful and wonderfulI hostess. I am planning to use this property for all future visits to family.

What a wonderful place for a getaway. We were in Washington for our grandson's high school graduation. Hockinson Carriage House is a warm, inviting place to stay. It was very clean and well taken care of. We had everything we needed and were very pleased with our stay.

Everything about our stay was absolutely wonderful! The accommodations were comfortable, clean and well suited for our needs. The surrounding area stole my heart! This was our second stay at the Hockinson Carriage House—and we’ll be back! Artie and Radwyn are excellent hosts. Carriage House is expertly provisioned and immaculate. We love the fun, country decor, small farm and safe, secluded setting. It’s such a relaxing place to stay for car drives, and a real treat to stretch our legs with a walk through the beautiful property.

Set back on a rural property in a private carriage house among large trees and spacious yard/garden. We attended wedding festivities, so we only spent slow mornings lounging in the carriage house while sipping coffee before heading out for the day & evening. Beautiful, quiet, private country setting. The hosts were very gracious and quickly responded to questions about the property. The loft was very clean, cozy and offered all the amenities as described. Getting pizza from Hockinson Market is a must! We would definitely recommend the carriage house to friends and family.

The hosts were very welcoming. If you like Country living, this is the place to stay. It is quiet, clean, and the Carriage House is cozy with the amenities of home. There are chickens on the premises and the hosts welcome you to have some fresh eggs if you would like for breakfast. It looks just like the pictures you view on line. I wouldn't hesitate to rent again in the future!

This is by far the cutest and comfiest vrbo we've ever stayed in! Spacious upstairs studio room, with charming cabin decor and all the kitchen and bathroom supplies that we needed. Check-in instructions were clear and easy (as were the thermostat and tv instructions). And we really appreciated the pancake mix and fresh eggs that were provided. Thanks Artie and Radwyn for going above and beyond!

What a gem of a VRBO. The cottage was so nicely decorated and supplied with all your basic needs. The property is so beautiful and tranquil. It met all my needs for a location surrounded by nature. Artie and Radwyn were lovely host. Thanks for everything.

Very welcoming and accommodating hosts. This is a spacious and charming carriage room in a charming setting, with the chickens' "condo" and honey bee hives adjacent and a pond nearby on the wooden lot. The mini-split heat pump made the room very comfortable despite the hot weather. Town of Battle Ground, six miles away, is great for eating options. Pretty convenient to Vancouver, WA and Portland.

Wonderful property with a nice pond and are to walk around and breathe. I needed a place to gather my thoughts and have some time alone, this was just perfect for that. There’s so many birds and animals around the property which I truly enjoyed seeing. I’ll miss driving by the horses in the neighbors property each day. The owners were excellent communicators and so very kind and friendly. Very thankful for this stay.

We highly recommend this property. Our stay was incredible. The unit is very nice and clean, and the surrounding property is amazing. The only thing better than the property is the hosts. Artie and Radwyn are some of the most friendly people we have ever met, and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home. The only thing to note is that Verizon is the only cell service that works at the property. However, they have good WiFi available, so it wasn’t really an issue for us. We would certainly come back!

Private and quiet location, very serene, and yet close to the bigger cities if you want to jump over to Portland or Vancouver. We had a pizza from Hockinson Market - highly recommend - it was delicious, and very close. The minute you go onto the property you felt like you were stepping into your own private home away from home. Plenty of space for a couple and spotless - very well maintained. As others have mentioned, the bathroom was spacious, with plenty of hot water available as well as plenty of towels and toiletries. We just felt so comfortable and welcomed! Great communication from the owners and would love to stay again!

Quiet, rural beauty! The long private drive is fully paved, leading to an enchanting farm. The Carriage House above the garage was immaculate, spacious and had everything we could need. We especially appreciated the new bath towels and full-length bathroom counter. The kitchenette is tiny but amazingly well stocked. We ate out, but enjoyed the thoughtful microwave popcorn and selection of coffees and teas for the Keurig. Our hosts were excellent communicators and so kind. We highly recommend the Carriage House!
