"This is a great place for a stopover. The room we had was large, comfortable & immaculately clean!
Plenty of parking.
It is in a kind of industrial area that’s true - but it’s extremely quiet and only 2 - 300 yards walk from supermarkets etc…
The lady who owns the complex was extremely helpful and friendly.
WiFi is very good too.
Definitely would recommend to others. "

"Brunfels Hotel is an excellent stay right in the center of Mainz. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are nicely cleaned and charming.
Our favorite is the breakfast, this was incredible! Delicious and every room is so beautifully decorated for a charming stay. "

Shocked at being charged 5€ a day for “ energy costs” when checking out!!!!
No replacement of coffee pods or tea bags- very mean for a 4 star hotel. We slept ok but some may find train noisy outside our window. Rhine view nice and citibikes to hire on site - very handy and cheap! "

"This is an okay place to stay and rest for a weekend after a long flight from Australia. The cement factory next door gets noisy on Monday morning, the day we left. There is no elevator so beware of heavy suitcases. There is a nice walk to the Rhine river through a forested area. The supermarket nearby is closed on Sunday’s. Finding something to eat nearby is a challenge. An half hour walk gets to the local railway station (turn right, straight down the road and up the stairs at the viaduct, turn right from the station you’ll find some restaurants and a bakery that’s open on sundays. It’s very busy in the mornings. "
