We stayed at Southern Bliss for a family reunion from October 31 to September 7, 2024. The house was spacious and very comfortable for our twenty adults, a two-year-old and two babies. We could not believe how well the house was designed. The architect thought of everything a group would want, and the owner furnished it with all we needed.
We ate most of our meals at the house. The kitchen contained two refrigerators, stoves, microwaves and dishwashers. An icemaker furnished plenty of ice. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, cooking utensils and dinnerware. The dining room accommodated our group and could have handled more. A commercial washer and dryer on each floor made it possible to do laundry as needed.
We were pleased with the linen service and comforters on the beds. A good supply of soaps and toiletries were provided. Supermarkets were nearby.
We made great use of the great room on each floor, the decks with rockers and screened in porches.
We spent a lot of time on the ground level where we could play table tennis, darts and corn hole, cook on a large gas grill, and use the bar for snacks. Some of us spent many hours in the pool and hot tub which lent to many conversations.
The beach was nice, private, convenient and not overcrowded. Palmetto Dunes is exceptionally beautiful with plenty of walking/biking trails and plenty of pickleball courts within walking distance.
