"Windows don't fit properly, so draughty and hear outside road noise. Have stayed in 3 different rooms, same experience. Cheaper than other nearby hotels, but expect better. Note they charge extra £5 to park if u dont book direct, read the small print. Staff nice though."

"The room was a bit dated but clean and had everything you would want! Staff were all amazing! We were lucky we got the last parking space! The restaurant was really lovely and the food was exceptional!!! Our compliments to the chef!!! The joining pub was friendly and welcoming. We were down for a wedding in another RAD hotel close by but we feel we got the better deal! Taxi service was recommended by hotel, and we used them twice, great value and lovely people. "

"We arrived as the concierge was taking a phone call from another customer complaining and requesting a refund...not the best start. Our stay coincided with a friends birthday party in the function suite, she was told there was a special rate for those that booked direct with the hotel. Three phonecalls later and staff had no idea about it, so we booked on hotels.com instead as the rates going direct were significantly higher. We stayed in room 18, which has seen better days, cracks in the tiles and bath panel. In comparison to the lochside, this hotel is severely lacking and the bed and pillows fairly uncomfortable. That said, the room was clean. The biggest issue i had that night was with a member of barstaff, I used the hotel bar rather than the function suite as there was only one member of staff serving and i wanted cocktails. I gave my order to the staff member and they didnt appear to be very pleased, but made them, I then asked for a pina colada and they looked furious, i asked to pay and come back for it, they huffed and handed me the card reader. I can only guess they'd just cleaned the machine, but I know that i did not deserve that level of attitude. Later i returned to the bar for more cocktails, that same member of staff, left and then returned, when we asked if they were serving they replied "no, i told you that before i left" just very unprofessional. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone"

"Everywhere was very clean. The staff were all very pleasant and courteous. The food was ok and reasonable in price. Breakfast was plentiful and served to order. "

"Room was not of the standard off the rooms we normal get,and was on second floor with no lift access(husband ill health ,asked for room lower down,wanted extra £60 for 2nights .everything else was perfect as usual,and we are regular visitors !"
