"Have been traveling for 21 days, stayed in 17 hotels. This has been the best by far! Location on the outskirts of town, quiet. Room as pictured, spacious, comfortable bed, well stocked bathroom. So many thoughtful details including bags of ice in a freezer next to the elevator, morning coffee set up in an area separate from the breakfast setup, cookie jar at the front desk.Staff at check-in very welcoming. Asked for recommendations for dinner, chose one, had a great meal. Highly recommend this hotel."

"Home was perfect for our family’s stay. Love the open floor plan. Home was clean and has a great island with seating in the kitchen. Nice 5-burner gas range for cooking and great kitchen layout. Beds were comfortable too which is a bonus. We didn’t get a chance to use the lake because we were in town for a wedding, but it’s super close to the boat landing and located on a great part of the lake so during the summer months would be the perfect get away if you’re looking to spend time on the water. Also has a cute area for a bon fire. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home to others."
Private Lakefront Home on Peninsula of Pristine Big Bass Lake

"This is not your typical “cabin” in the woods. It is 100% in the woods and you feel like you’re the only people there, but the accommodations felt more like being at home. The entire house was beautifully done with cool ‘up north’ art and furnishings. The main bathroom was huge with a tiled walk-in shower. The hosts stocked several items that you might forget to pack, like Q-tips, lotion, bug spray, etc. The bedrooms all had very comfy beds with plenty of pillows and blankets. They also have nice tower fans if you need them. We liked them for the sound while sleeping. It is VERY quiet on the property. Not complaining. :) The property has a nice dock that we fished off of daily. I can’t put into words how absolutely peaceful it was sitting out there. I’ve never seen water that clear before! We caught a variety of sunnies, a small bass and a mid-sized northern. We also saw a ginormous snapping turtle swim by and a couple of loons. There is a nice fire pit in the backyard and the hosts were kind enough to provide firewood. We will definitely be coming back next year, hopefully with our kids/grandkids. About the area: The property is on Big Bass Lake but there are plenty of other lakes to explore nearby if you choose. We found a cute supper club nearby on Thunderlake called Deer Haven that we highly recommend. Remer had a nice grocery store for basic supplies, Emily had a great meat market and liquor store/bait shop. For a larger grocery selection you’ll want to stop in Crosby."
