We love this cabin! We've stayed twice and had the best vacations because of it! Rosemary and Al made it cozy, clean, comfortable and just amazing! We will be back again fir sure!
Lovely cabin! Quiet hideaway, but close to other attractions. Loved that we were close to the Mickelson trail. The host was very helpful with our questions, and did a great job of making us feel welcome.
Rosemary and Al treated my Wife and I well at their family cabin. Amazing view, cabin in perfect shape and fit nicely nestled in the mountains. The location of their place allowed us to see everything that the area had to offer like Mt Rushmore,Crazy Horse, Custer State Park ,Devils Tower Wyoming ,lots of Scenic Byways etc…. The Roth cabin allows you to soak in the peace and quite and enjoy the outdoors as well as view nature at its finest.
Nice cabin, nice location, driveway is steep but totally manageable and nice because there is no traffic that can go by. Worked out great for our group.
The place is great and gave us everything we were looking for. 2 adults and our 3 grandkids had a blast. Al and Rosemary are the best. They gave us all the information we needed and more. Their communication is some of the best of any VRBO we have stayed in. (probably about 15 times we have done this).
Beautiful cozy cabin right in the mountains.Three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and wonderful deckviews of the mountains. Loved staying here and having the quiet beauty. Hearing the stream below, and seeing fawns playing in the yard were an added blessing. Though we didn't bike or hike the Michelson Trail, it has close access. Great place for our family.
We enjoyed everything from the hummingbirds in the morning, to the extremely comfortable furniture, to the deck with so many wonderful places to sit, even a hammock!! It was a fabulous experience, especially after a not so good one. The communication was excellent!! We can’t say enough good things about this place, we simply loved it!!
Quite cabin in the mountains perfect for our family getaway. Close to Deadwood and Mount Rushmore. Owners communicated without issue. Definitely would stay again!
We had a great time catching up with friends without any WiFi or contact with the outside world. The owners provided drinking and showering water. The Mickelson trail is nearby and a beautiful walk. Cute shops/bar down at the bottom of the hill.
Beautiful location, it was everything we were looking for, the only thing that was of concern was the shower on first floor with getting the temp right and still be able to conserve water, but the surrounding and location made up for any inconveniences
The Roth cabin was exactly what our family needed! There was so much space to sprawl out for the kiddos. They played corn hole, jenga and hide and seek, while hubby and i relaxed on the huge deck and just soaked it all in. We were visited by the humming birds all day long, as well as the chipmonks. We saw wild life every where we went! The morning we left we were visited by a beautiful whitetail. It truly was the most relaxing week we have ever had on vacation!Highly recommend staying at the Roth cabin! Al and Rosemary are amazing hosts!

Wonderful
We absolutely loved our stay at the Roth cabin....we were concerned at first with the steepness of the drive but made it fine.....it was an experience conserving the water but it made us realize how we take things for granted.....atving trails were near by and weather was great.....loved watching the deer come through the yard every a.m......thanks again
We had a wonderful visit at the lake house. It was our first time staying here. The house was plenty big enough for my family and my sisters. Pet friendly was what sold us on this particular trip. Although we came a little too early in the season to enjoy swimming in the water, we did have fun fishing and adventuring. We saw a moose as well as a bear. The house is easy to find and close enough to the little town where we could get ice cream and come back home to relax on the deck. The only down fall was the water. For a party of 8 we had to bring quite a bit of water. The house is a bit older and a few updates would be a plus but other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Outstanding Cabin
My wife and I spent two wonderful weeks here. The cabin met all of our expectations and then some. We especially liked cloud- watching on the upper deck. The cabin is quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk down the hill to historic
Rochford and the infamous Moonshine Gulch Tavern where local musicians gather every Sunday afternoon for entertaining jam sessions. Owners/hosts are great and we loved the generous welcome basket and music waiting for us when we arrived. This cabin has everything you need for a short or extended stay. Thanks, Roths, for sharing your lovely retreat. I would give Six Stars if I could.

the REAL Black Hills of South Dakota
If you desire beautiful seclusion, this cabin and it's location gives the best of what the Black Hills has to offer: the Mickelson bike trail from Rochford to Hill City is breath-taking, with waterfalls, tunnels, wildlife and scenery galore; watch the sunrise and wildlife, and listen to the birds and the creek from one of two spacious decks outside; and inside, you'll find all the amenities you desire. We honestly did not want to leave. No cell phone service was a plus in my view, but drive a few miles north, and you can have that, too. The small town of Rochford was delightful, also. Great faces, great places, as they say. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful place.
