This was our second year in a row staying in this beautiful cabin and we loved every minute of it! It’s perfect for our family of four. We all stay fully entertained with the kid's playroom, outdoor theatre, fire pit, private waterfall, and so much more! The cabin is so clean and cozy and stocked with everything we need for a week of family fun in the mountains!! We hope to be back again next year!

Beautiful se

Beautiful house and property. The hike to the waterfalls were challenging, but worth it. We spent hours down there and loved tge fact is was ours for the week.Plenty of space to spread out.Loved the coffee bar. The kitchen had everything we needed. Overall the house and property were warm and inviting.

Mountain retreat

We loved this place! It was perfect for getting away as a family and had so many activities in and at the cabin itself for our kids. The hike to the waterfall is completely worth it! We loved the privacy and yet it was close enough to several towns to not be an issue for going out to eat or shopping. The cabin itself was beautiful and immaculate. We absolutely plan on coming back.

A Perfect Place

My wife & I celebrated our 29th anniversary. The cabin is spacious and very comfortable. Had everything we needed. The lot is easy to get too and the property and views are terrific. I am 62 and the hike down to the water fall was a little tough on my knees going down but no problem coming back up. The climb is a little steep. The water Fall is amazing and worth the hike.

Great Cabin!

Was a great cabin but rained for 5 days. Had 1 day outside. Was so disappointed we were not able to hike to the waterfall as well as see sunsets. Maybe next time!

Lovely cabin

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It had everything we needed and then some. The property was beautiful with wonderful hiking trails. We enjoyed the outdoor theater and hike to the waterfalls. The snow made it even more beautiful. Would definitely book again in the future.

Loved the woodsy mountain location with lots of western facing decks to enjoy the views.

THE Perfect "Getaway" Cabin !!!!!

This little slice of mountain deliciousness is the epitome of what most are looking for in a "Cabin in the Mountains" !!!! It has everything ...... literally !!! Great hosts and great location .......... I can't find a single thing I would change or ask to be different.

Amazing Escape!

This place was everything we could have asked for. Beautiful views, lots of space, and easily the most well-stocked, turn-key vacation rental we’ve ever stayed at. There’s a beautiful waterfall on the property that was great to hike to, and our kids loved the tree house, the arcade, and all of the board games and toys. Perfect for a family getaway. Can’t wait to come back!

Awesome house for vacation

The house was amazing. The drive was a short distance to town, great location. The private drive to the house was well maintained, a access even when accessing after an evening out. We plan to come agin with family in 2024

Perfect Cabin in the Mountains

Thank you! It was perfect. The Hike to the waterfall was a little difficult for some if you’re not experienced I wouldn’t recommend it. We enjoyed the hike it was worth it.

Breath👏taking👏

I can’t even describe how amazing this cabin is. It is in a perfect, secluded location making our stay even more relaxing. There was not a dull moment for the kids. They lived the adventures to the waterfalls and hikes around the property. They couldn’t resist a swim in the freezing, November waters of the swimming hole. The cabin was cozy and clean. Supplied with everything we needed. We will definitely be back soon!

Peaceful and private cabin

Close to town yet you feel like you’re on your own private mountain. One of the best thoughtfully stocked cabins we have rented in NC. Don’t miss the waterfall hike! It’s a challenge but so worth it!! Comfy beds, kitchen made meal time fun and I already miss my swing!! Great view.

Secluded wonderland

Property was very well stocked, clean, comfortable beds. Everything you could possibly need in a kitchen. Water fall on property was amazing but it is not an easy hike. Very steep with trees across path. Don't go alone. Well worth the hike but be sensible. Property goes on for ever. Only thing I would change is I would clear some trees so I could see more of the amazing view. Just a personal preference. Very quiet, peaceful. Easy to get to Franklin. Lovely property.

WONDERFUL, QUIET STAY

We had a wonderful time during our 2 1/2 week stay. Property is very beautiful and made even more so with the waterfall hike on the property. Hike is very steep going down and back up but manageable if you're in even somewhat decent shape. Hiking sticks are definitely recommended but the hike is well worth it. We also enjoyed the location as it is almost half way in between Franklin and Highlands. This allowed us the best of both worlds given the different aspects of the two towns. The owners were very quick to respond. We did not need much contact since we are very familiar with the area after owning a home in the NC mountains for 21 years. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. It allowed us full relaxation and the ability to focus on enjoying the area.

Peaceful getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The waterfalls on the property were beautiful, careful getting to them. The path to them is not easy to hike down, so if you have mobility issues you may have to skip the hike. There are other paths on the property to walk/hike along. The cabin is secluded, you can see other cabins, but they are not close. The cabin was very roomy and comfortable. There is a Keurig and coffee pot if you need your caffeine. Plenty of pots and pans if you want to cook. The view from the master bedroom is fantastic. The mattress in that bedroom is firm. The arcade game is fun to play, many, many games. Found old games that brought back many memories from the past. There is a shelf full of puzzles and board games. We had a few family game nights. We didn't use the TV's so we can't speak to the available channels/shows. Internet was good, we were able to work remotely when needed. The heating system was tricky to first use, but we figured it out. Before our stay, the owner answered my questions quickly. We had a peaceful and comfortable stay. If we are ever in the area in the future - we would definitely stay here again.

Great cabin, Beautiful area!

The cleanliness of the cabin was absolutely immaculate, and it was very well stocked. The only suggestions I would have would be in the construction and arrangement of certain parts of the cabin itself, which is probably irrelevant here. But truly, it is a wonderful cabin with a fantastic view and so many places to explore on the property itself! Absolutely loved it! I loved both the indoor and outdoor porch areas, the available books and games for those who like to stay in for a relaxing day, and the sound of the Beautiful waterfall nearby. It’s too bad that the park service cannot clean some of the dead trees off the path to the Buck Creek waterfall as some of them could impose some serious danger. We witnessed one fall on another waterfall hike we went on elsewhere on this trip. Perhaps the park service may consider that if they were aware? In any event, the experience was mostly wonderful. The friendliest and actually most helpful people during the whole process were the cleaners themselves. Since we arrived a tad early, we got the chance to meet them, and they were very nice, and even gave suggestions on places to go, things to see, and restaurant opinions which we welcomed. Though we had been to the area before, we always welcome new ideas, and people who freely give them. Hope to come back!

Beautiful and Relaxing

Our group loved this oasis in the mountains. Early morning Coffee rocking on the swing and the waterfall was the most beautiful experience for all of us. What an absolute treasure. Highly recommend.!

Senior Ladies Summer Mini-Escape

The cabin was wonderful escape from the heat and humidity of Myrtle Beach! The cabin was cozy and comfortable and the location was perfect - situated in between the towns of Highlands and Franklin. Dry Falls and Bridal Veil Falls were close and accessible. We tried to hike down to the falls on the property, but it was a little too difficult for us (three senior ladies)! We enjoyed shopping and antiquing in the area and we found some great places for dinner. The cabin was well-equipped, with everything you might need. The beds were comfortable, plenty of places to gather and plenty of places to find solitude. This would be an amazing place for families with children, with lots of places to explore around the cabin. The kids (and adults) won't even miss their electronic devices (cell service is sketchy) - a great opportunity to unplug and just enjoy the beauty of nature!I would make one small suggestion: If you plan to gather at the large table in the living room area to play cards, color, crochet or do any crafts that require good lighting, I would bring along a lamp of some type to supplement the lighting in the room. Overall, we LOVED it and were sad to leave after our 3-night stay. We hope to return some day!

Waterfall Adventure

What an adventure! The waterfall hike on the property is super cool, and quite a workout for people from flatland. The cabin is comfy and cozy. The kids loved the arcade. The property is on a cliff, and the yard is straight down from the house. It is secluded, so no worries of neighbors looking in, but a bit eerie with no curtains or blinds.
