"Room was clean and breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Have always stayed at The Boulders when in the area before, but opted for this place instead this time due to a terrible experience at The Boulders last time. Much cleaner, friendlier, and well-supplied than The Boulders (whose major redeeming quality is the spa) and service is impeccable. Love the balconies and Carefree is a nice little town with everything we needed. Will definitely stay again."

"This is my 4 or 5th stay in the last 15 years or so. I still really like it a number of reasons. But the property has degraded and grounds and interior maintenance have been neglected. I suspect it's because Hilton now owns the property. Talking to Hilton exec he said Hilton hotels, which manages their hotels only, and the vacation ownership side are different entities with very different standards. The grounds are looking somewhat seedy. The lush furniture that used to be in the units now looks like it's sourced from Bob's Discount Furniture. The nice mission style legacy furniture is beaten up, Kitchen equipment is minimal. But the Viking gas range is tops. My first few visits years ago gave us 'Wow.' Now it's not quite 'Meh' but getting close. However, the staff is great. In fact the mismatch between the quality of the staff and the grounds/unit quality is puzzling. The receptionist, Christina, went out of her way to find us 2 units close together for our family. It wasn't easy because it was booked solid. She spent 20 minutes rearranging rooms when they were booked solid. We were very grateful and it made for a great vacation in a beautiful area, quite appealing despite the disappointing change in property quality. The staff is quickly responsive to requests for more soap, towels, dishwasher pods, paper towels. They're eager to provide luggage assistance; on phone checkout a cart arrived without request! We'd say it's still a go, but be sure to get a good price."

"Our stay was fantastic. The villa was spacious and offered everything needed to have a comfortable stay. We did not use the pool or hot tub but they looked amazing. The area offered many options for eating and entertainment. Would definitely recommend for anyone heading to this area."

"I love staying in the Boulders. It’s one of my favorite places in Scottsdale. Even though it was summer with the heat, the property was very comfortable and relaxing. The trees and terrain in the neighborhood makes it very pleasant and beautiful. The property is professionally ran. It had everything stocked well, and the host/manager was responsive on any communication. You can use the QR code to scan at the property gates, which makes it convenient. We went over and had dinner or a drink at the hotel and watched the sunset. The pool was great for my little one. We enjoyed the privacy and abundant shade on the property. Would recommend for any travelers."
