Highly Recommend!

We stayed on the top floor, corner room (304?) of Villa Stari Grad. If you’re looking to step back in time (with all modern comforts), this is the place for you. Wind through ancient streets and enjoy the site of Forte Mare, built in the 1300’s, and St. Michel Archangel Church in Belavista square, both just steps outside the door. But the highlight of our room was the most amazing 180’ view of the Bay of Kotor. The castle is within view, as well as Igalo. The stunning snow capped peaks of Mt. Lovćen take the cake. One word of warning, no matter how you slice it, you will have to climb many stairs. Bring your good shoes, leave your roller bags and enjoy all the beauty of Hercig Novi.

Good apartments but service not the best

Lovely hotel in the middle of the old town, which is really lovely both on the sea front and on the hill. The room was clean and a good size. There was no one onsite the whole time we were there but clear instructions to access the room were provided. Giving 4 star for two reasons. Firstly, it would have been useful to get some instructions for parking in the town which is extremely difficult, especially for overnight stays as the car parks we saw only sold tickets for the current day, requiring you to buy a new ticket every day at 7am. Secondly, we didnt get the room we paid for (a roof top room), we got one on the second floor which didnt have panoramic views.

I had booked to stay here for 6 nights. I was placed in room 202 - the room next door was being renovated and builders arrived at 9am through till 10pm. I stayed one night after which I messaged the hotel asking for my money back due to the disruption (constant hammering and drilling). Thankfully the hotel and Expedia agreed I will be refunded for the 5 remaining nights. I left and went to a much more relaxing hotel. This place has potential but I would suggest you check the renovation is over before booking here.

Very small apartment for what you pay, with no basics like a kettle or a cup. Luckily we had souvenir mugs that we could use. No one was at the apartment for check in so we spent 15 minutes locked out the front in the rain. It was 3.30pm so not out of hours. There was renovation’s happening at the apartment next to ours and they were cutting and grinding tiles until 10pm at night even though I made a complaint at 8pm. Great location, just a pity about the lack of hospitality

Die Unterkunft hat eine tolle Lage, allerdings ist parken in Herceg Novi eine Katastrophe und teuer.. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit rundum Buchtblick gebucht und vorab bezahlt. Bekommen haben wir ein anderes zimmwr, weil es scheinbar elektronische Probleme in den Zimmern mit Buchtblick gab. In einem dieser waren aber auf jeden Fall Gäste. Wir haben also laut Gastgeber ein „besseres“ Zimmer mit Balkon bekommen und das stimmt auch insofern, dass dieses Zimmer tatsächlich teurer wäre. Aber ich bin trotzdem ein wenig enttäuscht, weil ich mich natürlich auf den rundum Buchtblick gefreut habe.. Dass das auch einem anderen Gast bei der Unterkunft mit diesem Zimmer passiert ist habe ich sogar vorab schon in den Rezensionen zur Unterkunft gelesen. Das hinterlässt für mich einen kleinen doofen Beigeschmack.. :(

Impression mitigée. Très belle rénovation, belle terrasse. Mais literie très inconfortable. L hôte n a pas répondu à mes messages, ce qui a compliqué notre arrivée. Nous n' avons jamais croisé quiconque de la guest house. Si vous avez besoin de vous stationner, c'est très compliqué. Des bagages lourds ou encombrants également.
