Peaceful Getaway

Our family enjoyed the peaceful getaway and time together. We were able to boat and kayak around the lake. Excellent trip! We would stay here again!

Nice place for two small families

Large bedrooms with king beds, nice walk in shower in the main en suite bath.Plenty of room for two families of 4. The kitchen is well appointed and perhaps a little small, but pretty workable for a short term rental. We did not swim, but the dock offers afternoon shade and a nice place to enjoy the lake view.

Medoc State Park Get Away

Beautiful home on a beautiful piece of property in a nice neighborhood. Home was just as advertised. Owner communicated ahead of time with check in info, WiFi password and address. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Relaxing Stay

We had a wonderful stay. The house was lovely with plenty of room to both spread out and all be together when desired. It was my husband and I, and our two adult children with a friend each. All of us had a blast fishing, relaxing in the water, and having a ping-pong tournament. The cove was quiet and we all really enjoyed ourselves. I think this will become an annual trip for us.

Great Family Vacation

We had a wonderful few days at Serenity. The home was very clean and comfortable. Check in was easy. We had fun with the games in the garage, took out the kayaks and enjoyed s'mores at the fire pit. Kitchen was very well stocked, which was a real bonus. Thanks for a great weekend and we hope to come back!

Great property with plenty to do!

The house was perfect for our short stay during a wedding in the area. Although it was November, the temperature was mild so we could walk around the neighborhood and enjoy playing cards and board games in the evening. I loved the layout of the house and all the extras included. I would highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Thanksgiving Getaway!

Our family came from different states to celebrate Thanksgiving and we felt completely comfortable and welcome at this home. It was spacious and welcoming and pulling off Thanksgiving dinner was easy with their well-stocked kitchen. We loved the backyard with the firepit, dock and kayacks. The master bath tub provided some much-needed "me" time. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Family getaway

This house was a beautiful, peaceful, haven located just a short walk away from beautiful Lake Gaston. The view was breathtaking and relaxing. We enjoyed time on the lake with the kayaks you provided, made smores around the firepit, and played many fun games inside the house with the many games that were available. Will definitely be back!

Serenity

Mark was a fabulous host, very accommodating and he met all of our needs. Despite the noise from the landscaping company cutting trees we were able to have a peaceful, restful week. The property has ease of access to stores, wineries, and restuarants. Every person we encountered was also very friendly. I would recommend a visit to this beautiful lake.

Perfect Lake house!

This house and location on the lake is even better than described! The kitchen was well stocked and they even had all the essential pantry items (oils/spices, etc.) …and we were pleasantly surprised to find firewood waiting for us so we could make s’mores by the fire pit. The paddle board was a favorite for our family…such a relaxing little cove to enjoy the peaceful lake. The owner, Mark, was wonderful about communicating…thank you for a fabulous few days at beautiful Lake Gaston! We hope to return again soon!

Exactly what we were looking for!

We spent a week here. What you see is what you get! Started to relax the minute we got there. The house is delightful, the setting is stunning, and the owner is very responsive. We enjoyed swimming, paddling and tubing on the lake on the hot afternoons of our week's stay. The pictures are completely accurate - you are on a quiet cove with a huge dock and swim ladder. Short, easy walk from the house to the dock. House is well stocked. Thank you Mark for a memorable family vacation!

Lake Gaston in September

Very nice nice property everything was clean and fresh and it being pet friendly is what drew us to the property and it didn’t disappoint, nice dock with room for one boat which is all we needed. You won’t be able to see sunrises and sunsets unless you can make it out on the lake. We enjoyed quite mornings and evenings sitting on the porch and dock. We were able to see Herons and Bald Eagles. We didn’t have one complaint about this property

Lakefront vacation

We stayed at “Serenity” for a few nights as we were passing through the area with our infant and dog. We found the house to be very nice, extremely clean, and the checkin process contactless and simple. Communication with the owners was timely and seamless and they definitely payed attention to details. The house has a beautiful view of the lake - we enjoyed morning coffee on the dock and grilled dinner on the deck! The kitchen is well equipped and there were lots of nice touches throughout the house making our stay enjoyable! We visited the local winery - the wine was good and it was not busy making us feel very covid safe. We hope to visit again in the future and enjoy more of all the lake has to offer! We would highly recommend this house to future renters!
