Unwind at this peaceful 2BR/2BA mountain retreat with forest views, a private 2-story deck, and a 6-person hot tub with lounger. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, you're just a short drive from Asheville, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, and downtown Hendersonville’s shops, cideries, and restaurants.

After an adventure-filled day, return to a newly renovated interior and relax with your choice of a wood-burning stove, an outdoor gas or wood fire pit, board games, and smart TVs. The home is pet-friendly, has WiFi, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Layout Note:
Our home has two levels with separate entrances, connected only via the exterior deck and stairs.
Upstairs: 1 queen bed
Downstairs: 1 queen bed + 1 full-size futon
This setup provides privacy and is ideal for families with teenagers or couples traveling together. For families with young children, please note that the separate entrances may require extra supervision.

Picture were a little deceiving as to the size. Really wanted a full size couch or love seat to relax on. Single cup coffee maker reservoir needs to be cleaned!!!!!! I’m glad I brought my own coffee maker. Great amenities but the property needs some TLC for the landscaping and grounds. Home was clean and cozy!Thank you!

NYE Stay at Woodland

We had a wonderful time at woodland retreat to bring in the new year. Wonderful piece of land with everything you need! Highly recommend.

Nice getaway

Overall the house is beautiful, the inside is very updated, and fully stocked with things you may need. The driveway is quite steep so my family parked on a gravel patch infront of the house because our car wasn’t suitable with the driveway. We also were not aware that the bedroom was not connected to the main part of the house, which was hard to handle while it was raining. The owners did respond to us in a quickly manner which was nice! In the end, we had fun and made some new memories :)

They've thought of everything

We expect home rentals to be clean and well-stocked. But these folks have gone above and beyond! There's a telescope, for Pete's sake! And a dog bed and a step stool....Place was great and communication with Nikolay and Amy was friendly and prompt. View is beautiful!

Cozy Dog-Friendly House

We loved our stay at Woodland Retreat! As far as house rentals go, this one really did think of it all. The house was fully stocked with everything you could need (coffee, laundry/dishwasher pods, toiletries, yoga mats, games, spices, the list goes on!), and is tucked away back behind some trees so it feels secluded despite being in close proximity to the road. The house is very dog friendly, with gates closing in the main deck (our dogs loved this part of the house) and a fenced in area where the fire pit is. There were even dog bowls and a dog bed in the house! There were some construction workers at the house when we checked in about 5 minutes before 4:00, but the host was responsive and quickly communicated with us, though we did drive around for a bit until they left. We did arrive to a brand new giant deck, which was a nice touch, and it seems like the house is slowly getting outside updates. Driveway is definitely a bit tricky. I would recommend parking down by the well unless you’re well-suited to navigate a steep, gravel/leaf covered driveway. We have a car with 4WD and had issues backing out of the drive one day. Overall would recommend, especially if you’re looking for an affordable dog-friendly property!
