About this property

Timber N Current -Reopening!

  • Previous known as The Cozy Rocky Broad Cabin. She was the lone survivor and just had some supports taken out and cosmetic damage .

She has now earned the name

    Timber N Current

Along the Rocky Broad since 1944 This vintage 1944 cabin has stood along the Rocky Broad for generations, built of hand-set logs and raised above the river on sturdy stilts. Time, weather, and water have shaped its character, but the cabin remains—simple, steady, and deeply connected to the river that flows beside it.

Timber N Current- a lovingly restored riverfront log cabin near Chimney Rock and Lake Lure in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Built in 1944 ,beside the Rocky Broad River, this romantic cabin rental is where timeless mountain charm meets the soothing rhythm of the river, Today, Timber N Current welcomes guests once again, offering a rare opportunity to experience the beauty of the Rocky Broad River from a lovingly restored historic cabin, one of the few remaining after Hurricane Helene.

Nestled just steps from the water, this one-bedroom treasure invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature. Wake to birdsong, spend your days exploring nearby waterfalls, hiking trails, zip lining, Lake Lure, and the charming mountain town of Chimney Rock. Return to the peaceful sound of the river flowing just beyond your back door, enjoying an evening by the river surrounded fire pit.

Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply escaping the pace of everyday life, you'll find the perfect place to unwind in this intimate riverside hideaway.

    **THE CABIN**

Thoughtfully restored after Hurricane Helene, while preserving its original character, Timber N Current offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Come spend your day at the cabin fishing for some trout , wade, or kayak just steps out the back door in the river. Relax in a luxurious king bed, prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen, or soak in the private hot tub for two beneath the stars. The back porch and a new rock terrace are the favorite places to sit and enjoy the rushing water of the Rocky Broad. The historic log construction creates the warm, welcoming atmosphere only a true mountain cabin can offer. Guests have enjoyed this cabin for a romantic getaway, anniversary trip, honeymoon cabin, weekend escape and more.

    **THE RIVER EXPERIENCE**

The Rocky Broad River is the heart of Timber N Current. Enjoy your morning coffee listening to the rushing water, spend the afternoon relaxing beside the river and end the evening soaking in the hot tub beneath a canopy of stars, or enjoying a fire in the river surrounded fire pit.
