The large grassy yard, an awe-inspiring waterfall right off the back deck, outdoor seating, a wrap-around porch, a carport, and a park-style outdoor BBQ grill will have you in love before you even step inside the cabin. Private and naturally majestic with native plants everywhere outside, let's stroll in and take a look... You'll enter through the laundry room because that's nearest to the carport and the best parking area. Here, you'll find a place to hang your jacket, wash your hands, and peel off your worn clothes from the day's hike.
You'll find river views from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and bedrooms on the main level. The main level master bedroom has a queen-size bed, a private bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, and a freestanding shower. This room has its own deck access, so it's a real treat. Bedroom two has a full-size bed, and from there, you'll be lulled into a relaxed state by the sound of the Toms Falls waterfall. This room uses the full bath directly across the hall.
The kitchen is open to the dining and living room; the highlight of the kitchen is the large counter and bar seating for 4. The dining room table seats 6 comfortably. There is also comfortable seating for six with a bit of room to spare in the living room.
Walk up to the loft and find incredibly spacious deck space for two, with one desk overlooking the waterfall, and let us say, "You have to see it to believe that this fabulous place exists."
On this upper level is another master bedroom with a king-size bed, a bathroom with a freestanding shower, and a soaking tub. Enjoy a dip in the tub or relax in your room while listening to the sounds of nature and rushing water just outside.

Wonderful getaway! Cabin was beautiful and in a great location, close to alot of the attractions we wanted to visit. Very clean and had all provisions we needed.
The cabin was clean and just as advertised. The kitchen was stocked with all the basic items we needed. The property was lovely to walk around and the waterfall provided soothing sounds to relax to. Would definitely visit again. We had a minor issue connecting to WiFi as the info in the guestbook wasn’t accurate. A call to the office for an updated password solved that issue.
We loved our stay at the idyllic mountain retreat. The property felt secluded but inviting! The kids adored exploring the creek and stacked rock castles waiting for them to discover, while we unpacked the car and groceries. The beds & baths were perfect for a family of 6! We ended up making dinner at the cabin the first night and almost everything was there to prepare our meal, including popcorn bowls for “the great outdoors” later that eve! There was only salt so BYO seasonings if cooking. The next morning we prepared breakfast in the cabin and explored the waterfall on foot. We felt adventurous and made it pretty far with the kids until the climb became very steep and slick. It will forever be their favorite memory that we had a waterfall in our backyard! We do warn however, that upon returning from dinner that eve, we came home to a black bear trying to open the trash can right under our car port. We were able to get the bear away long enough to come inside through the laundry room door, but it stayed there for the next 3-4 hours. We later discovered through the window at the bottom of the stair she had cubs with her. We know they are prevalent and it is after-all their home too, we only mention this because after experiencing how close she remained to us (even when she saw us on the back porch of the house), we’re not sure we would have ventured that far up the waterfall again. :) We loved having coffee & breakfast on the porch and listening to the calming waterfall.
Beautiful home with an unbeatable location. It was a great place to escape the busy day to day life and enjoy time with family. The peace and quiet was serene, but we were also close to outdoor activities, like Chimney Rock, and Lake Lure. Thank you for such a great family trip.
Great house. Bigger then it looks, plenty of room and loved the water.
Very nice house. I would stay there again. The house had wonderful details and very comfortable. The yard was so pretty and we actually got to see a bear family which was so exciting.
Could use some sharp knives and a little more cooking utensils but bring your own if you are picky.
We could’ve moved in and stayed there forever! We loved the wrap-around porch, the bear motif, comfortable beds, roomy bathrooms for every room and the highlight was chilling on the porch enjoying the sights and sounds of the waterfall! It was a very relaxing finish to our busy vacation.
We had an incredibly wonderful time here! It was easy enough to get to (though those windy roads made us a little carsick) but nicely secluded. Having the waterfall right there was incredible--with the windows open, we could hear it everywhere, and we spent some time splashing around in it. The house itself was cute and comfortable, with lots of windows and light. Loved the cute and interesting touches. Would love to go back in the winter, I bet it would be super cozy.
Only complaint is that the last morning, I was standing by the railing on the deck and shifted my weight and my foot went through the board. I let the company know so I'm sure it'll be fixed, and hopefully they'll make sure the whole deck is super safe.
Nice place with pretty scenery. Place is really in Bat Cave versus Hendersonville. Owned by property rental company and it shows. One roll of TP in each bathroom for a week, a few garbage bags, one roll of paper towels, 3 dishwasher cubes. Place is as described and has pretty view. The neighboring property has a herding dog that barks incessantly if it sees you, and this coming from a dog lover. Property advertises charcoal grill off of back deck, really a shame a grill isn't on the deck. Nice place, nice quiet property, basic amenities. Bring extras for yourself again the property is nice and home is clean. We rode each day and used as place to relax at the end of the day.
The cabin (and the drive up to it) is every bit as gorgeous as the pictures make it seem. The whole cabin was clean and well stocked. The creek was wonderful, the grounds are beautiful, and the bear that kept messing with the trash can was a nice touch. The perfect place to go when you want to get away from it all.
This cabin is as beautiful in person as it is in the photos. The waterfall off the porch is gorgeous and fun to walk up. I would definitely stay there again.
The cabin and surroundings were absolutely beautiful! We really enjoyed sitting in the rockers on the covered wrap around porch in the mornings listening to the water coming off the mountain. I know the listing said service could be spotty but we had zero internet even after restarting the router and zero cell service unless we drove more in town. Also I think the second air conditioner must have been broke because there was a portable air conditioner in the upstairs bedroom which didn’t help much so it was pretty warm up there especially trying to sleep at night. Besides the internet/cell service and the upstairs being hot it really is a beautiful and clean cabin.
Loved the property. House is beautiful. Only problem we could not get Wi-Fi while we were there. Called property manager but never got it to work. No cell reception. Overall a great stay
Our family thoroughly enjoyed this cabin! I would recommend the owners take advantage of the lower deck and add a hottub. It would be WOW! Property deserves a nice firepit.
Would rent again though!
This property was ideal as we planned to spend a day in Asheville and a day in the Lake Lure/ Chimney Tops area. It was a great retreat and exactly as described. The stream beside the cabin was an added bonus feature and was beautiful.
This gorgeous mountain cabin was the PERFECT relaxing getaway for us! We had four adults, and there was plenty of room for more people. It has the most amazing creekside view (great for breakfast on the porch), comfy beds and couches, an easy to use fireplace, all the kitchen amenities, spacious rooms and even a huge jacuzzi in the first floor master. Plenty of rocking chairs for relaxing, hiking trails for exploring, and a tv with plenty of entertainment options. Almost no cell service and weak wifi, but that was the point! Such a fabulous weekend, definitely hope to return!
The stream next to the house provides a constant white noise sound, like it's raining. Power was out for about 5 hours during our stay so have a plan b for food. The grill is fixed in place so if it is raining unable to grill as a backup to having no power.
This was definitely a great choice. The creek runs right by the cabin and that kept he kids busy for hours. The waterfall is a quick 3 minute walk up the creek.
About 15 minutes away is Chimney Rock. There's a nice little village outside the park with a number of shops and restaurants on the river. I also recommend the Hickory Nut Gorge Brewery if you like to check out the local beers. Nothing fancy about this place, the beers I tried were very good. Not a lot of room inside but they have 3 or 4 decks out on the river which is where I'd rather be anyway. We did go to the Chimney Rock park. Lots of trails and thing to see for hikers.
As for grocery stores, the closest ones are 25-30 minutes away. Stock up before you get to the cabin. When I did go out to the store, The Ingle's in Lake Lure impressed me. It;s big and they have everything you need.
I would absolutely come back to this cabin.
Cheers!
We absolutely loved our stay! Clean and spacious! Welcoming and cozy!
We loved every minute of our stay at this beautiful house. The house is nestled back into the mountain with a creek literally by your side! Spacious and welcoming deck, clean house, cozy and inviting. A piece of heaven! Thank you for a great weekend! We hope to see you again soon.
