About this property
Container Home w/ a Fenced Yard
This 53’ shipping container retired from the open waters to nestle in the mountains of WNC. Surrounded by a big, grassy, fenced in yard, this industrial 452 sq ft 2BR/1B invites up to 4 people and pets ($30/pet.) Amenities include a fully stocked kitchen, fast WiFi, streaming TVs, and a fire pit. 5 minutes to DT Hendersonville and 30 minutes to Asheville, the convenient location offers quick access to breweries, hiking, and food. Book with us and make your stay as unique as your travels.
The Space: Welcome!
Upon your arrival you will see some decorations from some local breweries; there are tackards, glasses, mugs, a dog leash, and some other items that we have collected to provide the space with a brewery theme. While we encourage use of these items on the property—we ask that nothing be taken as a souvenir.
The master bedroom has a full sized Tuft and Needle mattress and a large closet. The second room can act as a lounge room or, boasts a comfy sleeper sofa that converts to a queen with a Tuft and Needle topper. If you are going to be using the second bedroom to sleep in, please let us know so we can prepare that room as a bedroom. Each room, and the living room, has a TV with full access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu. The bathroom includes a toilet and a stand-up shower. The space is small but the doors open and, with attached door jams, expand the room to include the sink and vanity area. The kitchen includes a refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster oven. The entire space is yours to enjoy and should you need anything, let us know.
In addition to this, we are starting to offer our pre-made, mix and match six packs containing tins and bottles from our favourite local breweries between Hendersonville and Asheville. The cost of the six packs are $25/piece. Please let us know if you would be interested in this experience, and we will happily stock your fridge for your arrival. If you are, we would just need a copy of your ID to approve your age, and for you to accept liability for anyone else in your party.
Guests have access to the whole house and private yard. The yard contains a fire pit with lounge chairs. Use the fire pit at your own risk and please be careful. There is a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink, should you need it. Be sure to put embers out completely when done (with water, the fire extinguisher is only for emergencies.)
Pets are welcome, the fee is a one time $30/pet for up to five nights. If the stay is longer than five nights, there will be an additional $30/pet fee.
The guest fee for over two people is $20/person/night. If you only have two guests but need the sofa bed made, there will be a $20 fee.
We don’t accept any animals that live outdoors, as we like to preserve the wildlife and ecosystem surrounding the property.
We like to state that you have to drive through a junk-yard-looking property to gain access to the house; it is completely safe. However, once you get to the house, there is a privacy fence surrounding the property.
Hendersonville is home to this holiday home. Western North Carolina Air Museum and Hendersonville Antique Toy Museum are cultural highlights, and travellers looking to shop may want to visit Blue Ridge Mall and Southridge Shopping Center. Mineral and Lapidary Museum and Team ECCO Ocean Center and Aquarium are also worth visiting. Kayaking and fishing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with mountain climbing and cycling nearby. Visit our Hendersonville travel guide

Unique stay and very cute. Cozy and lovely location. Parking is tricky and we had trouble with the lock once but not an issue really. Great location and base to explore from.
Loved this place. Perfect for a one night, much needed mental heath hiking trip. Little awkward getting in and out of but owners instructions were very helpful. Home was very pleasant and super clean and cute. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our weekend in the Brew Box. We could sit out all day and read while our two little dogs had plenty of room to run and play. The surrounding trees gave shade all day long. Loved the house/box floor plan. I'd love one myself. Very relaxing weekend!
Cutest little container home. Most pet friendly place i have ever stayed on vrbo. Solid fencing to let my dog run free and feel safe. Loved the firepit. We watched a play at flatrock playhouse and owners let us check in early to get our dog settled. 10/10 experience
Our family of 4 stayed here over Columbus Day weekend. The primary focus of the trip was to head to some of the orchards for some fall fun with our 8 and 10 year old daughters and our 6 month old puppy. The home is within 5 minutes to grocery shopping, 10 minutes into downtown, and 20 minutes from apple orchards. The gravel driveway to the home is along a sharp turn and past a small junk yard. Once you are inside the fence, you can't tell any of that is there. You can hear cars driving past and a very loud rooster too. We found the rooster comical. The hosts are fantastic and respond right away. They also don't leave you with a huge list of to do's upon leaving! Kitchen was very well appointed with plenty of dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, and dog waste bags too. And hand soap! I don't know why so many rentals don't provide that? The space is pretty tight so fitting 4 adults or even a family with teens would be a tight squeeze. Futon with the topper was really comfy. Shower is pretty small too. Overall if we come back to the area, we would love to stay again. It was a unique experience.
Communication was quick and easy. The hosts provided some local beer for a fee with the stay which was a nice touch for the beer themed container home. I would stay here again next time I’m in the area.
We loved our stay. We had everything we needed and except for a little glitch with the access code, everything went smoothly! The Brew Box was the perfect little hideaway for the weekend and the little container home packed a big stay! We would totally stay again!!
We had a great one night stay! The location was perfect for exploring Hendersonville and apple picking. The hosts were very responsive and made everything easy.
Great location in Hendersonville. We were there 2 nights and the yard was amazing for our dog (and sanity) and very well fenced in. The Shipping container was a fun and unique place to stay. Had everything we needed.

It was a ok place to stay. We were hiking most of the time. The shower was small with water running on to the floor. The biggest issue we had was the location. The entrance into the house is a junk yard house, the owner has a truck that is parked blocking the entrance partially . Making it close for our truck to pull up the driveway.
The positive is that there is a fenced yard for our dogs to come in and out. The concept of the container home is cute. A couple with pets it works
Clean, well organized, convenient fenced yard for our dog to stretch her legs while passing through. Exactly what we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer in the Flat Rock/Hendersonville area!
This is a wonderful property. Extremely clean and stocked with everything you need. A very cool experience to stay in a container home with all the amenities of a traditional home. We had 2 dogs with us… the completely fenced in yard was awesome! It’s huge and gave our dogs a ton of space to stretch their legs (and sniff around!). 100% recommend.
We stayed here to break up a long drive and it was perfect. The house is small but had everything we needed. The fenced-in yard was awesome for our dog. About 30 minutes from Asheville and 10 minutes from Hendersonville. The hosts gave great directions and information leading up to our stay and we would stay again.
We had a wonderful time here, and the dogs loved all the running around room. We both loved the fireplace. We made a leaf pile for the dogs to play in.
Many wonderful memories were made here.
Sincerely,
Brad, Ingrid, Kayleigh, and Buddy.
My husband and I needed a spot for the night with our two pups. The fenced in yard was clutch for the dogs especially after a long drive. The place is too cute and so well appointed inside. You do pass a junkyard and the way in but once you round the corner of the property, it isn’t in view. Parking is tight if you have a larger vehicle, but manageable. I would highly recommend this for a couple with or without dogs. Minutes from Downtown Hendersonville. It was exactly what we needed for our quick stay. And the host, Katherine, is very accommodating.
