  • Ambrosia Abode is a romantic luxury A-frame tucked within Orchard’s Edge, a new 22-acre forest retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains bordering Jeter Mountain Farm. Thoughtfully designed for rest and reconnection, Ambrosia offers a skylit lofted king suite, a spa-inspired bathroom, and private outdoor living spaces. As part of our Grand Opening, guests are invited to experience Orchard’s Edge during its inaugural season with preferred opening rates.

    The Cabin Experience

    Inside, Ambrosia welcomes you with warm natural textures and calming tones that reflect the quiet beauty of the surrounding forest. Every detail, from organic bamboo bedding to the spa inspired stone bathroom, was thoughtfully chosen to create a space that is both elevated and deeply restful.

    A spiral staircase leads to the lofted king suite, where skylights above invite gentle morning light and offer a quiet view of the stars at night.

    The spa style bathroom is a place to truly unwind, featuring a rainfall shower, deep soaking tub, heated toilet seat, and plush robes. It creates a peaceful retreat to return to after a day spent exploring. On the main level, a cozy living space, thoughtfully stocked kitchen, and curated coffee nook invite you to settle in with ease.

    Just outside, the two private porches offer a front row seat to the beauty of the forest. Rocking chairs, a fire table, and a private hot tub beneath the trees create space to savor the moment, whether that is a glass of wine at sunset or a relaxing soak under the stars.

    Guests of Orchard’s Edge are also welcome to gather at the retreat’s community Embergrove, which includes a stone firepit along with picnic tables, charcoal grills, and hammocks- creating a shared space for relaxed evenings beneath the mountain sky.

    Orchard’s Edge

    Ambrosia Abode is part of Orchard’s Edge, a private 22-acre retreat born from a desire to create a place where time slows, the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains can be fully experienced, and moments with loved ones become lasting memories.

    Rooted in intentional design and genuine Southern hospitality, every detail of the retreat has been thoughtfully considered. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or simply stepping away from the pace of everyday life, Orchard’s Edge was created to feel both luxurious and deeply welcoming.

    Orchard’s Edge is currently in Phase 1 of a five-phase development plan. Today, the retreat includes three luxury cabins and The Embergrove, a shared gathering space with a stone firepit, picnic tables, charcoal grills, and hammocks tucked beneath the trees.

    As the retreat continues to grow, guests can look forward to a fourth cabin, private hiking trails, and curated experiential packages coming soon. The full masterplan includes fifteen custom cabins and a collection of bespoke amenities including a spa, library, stargazing observatory, organic-style pool, pottery studio, and event space… all created to offer an immersive, one-of-a-kind way to experience the Blue Ridge Mountains.

    Jeter Mountain Farm

    Inaugural Season Legacy Launch

    Orchard’s Edge Mountain Retreat is currently welcoming guests for the soft opening of Phase 1 of our five-phase boutique resort development.

    To celebrate the beginning of the retreat, guests who stay between April 24th - July 31st, 2026 will be honored as our Legacy Guests, those who are part of our very first chapter. As part of our Legacy Launch, these guests will enjoy preferred inaugural booking rates reserved solely for our opening season, a commemorative Legacy Guest gift, and priority access to future retreats, events, and upcoming phases as Orchard’s Edge continues to grow.

    A personalized access code will be created exclusively for your stay, allowing for a seamless and private arrival. This code will be provided to you on the morning of your check-in day.

    Minimum Age Requirement: The primary booking guest must be at least 25 years of age.

    Travel Insurance: As plans can change unexpectedly, we recommend purchasing travel insurance. Cancellations will incur applicable fees in accordance with our cancellation policy.

    Party & Event Policy: Orchard’s Edge is thoughtfully designed as a private retreat for rest and relaxation. In order to maintain this atmosphere for all guests, parties and events are strictly prohibited on the property.

    Pets: We know that for many, a getaway isn`t complete without their four-legged family member(s). We welcome well-behaved canine companions at Ambrosia Abode for a one-time pet fee of $100. We simply ask that pets remain on a leash when outdoors, are crated when you are away, and that you clean up after them to help us preserve the serenity and cleanliness that make Orchard’s Edge so special.
    Retreat Etiquette
    At Orchard’s Edge, we want every guest to experience the peace, beauty, and sense of retreat that make this property so special. To protect that experience for everyone, the following Retreat Etiquette guidelines apply to all guests and are enforced throughout the property.

    We kindly ask that you review and follow these guidelines throughout your stay. If a guideline is not being observed, Orchard’s Edge management will contact the responsible guest and require that the issue be corrected promptly. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in helping us care for the property and preserve a peaceful, beautiful environment for all who are staying with us.

    No Smoking or Vaping
    Smoking or vaping of any kind is strictly prohibited inside the cabins and everywhere on the Orchard’s Edge property.

    Attire in Shared Spaces
    Shoes and shirts are required in all shared community spaces, including The Embergrove.

    Outdoor Areas & Parking
    To preserve the beauty of the property, personal belongings, including coolers, towels, strollers, clothing, and other gear, must be kept inside your cabin when not in use and may not be stored or hung on porches, railings, or other exterior areas.

    All vehicles, trailers, and recreational equipment must remain on designated paved parking areas and may not be parked on grass, landscaping, or mulch. Each cabin has a designated parking capacity as follows:

    Melrose Manor: Maximum of 5 vehicles
    Cortland Cabin: Maximum of 2 vehicles
    Ambrosia Abode: Maximum of 2 vehicles

    If you are traveling with additional vehicles, a large trailer, or recreational equipment that cannot be accommodated within your cabin’s designated parking area, please contact us in advance and we will gladly assist you with an alternate parking location on the property.

    Noise & Outdoor Conduct
    Please keep noise at a considerate level at all times. Loud music is not permitted outdoors. Additionally, for the safety of our guests, wildlife, and surrounding forest, fireworks, firecrackers, explosives, and similar devices of any kind are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property.

    Jeter Mountain Farm Access
    Guests are welcome to enjoy Jeter Mountain Farm during its posted public hours and within designated guest-access areas. For safety and operational reasons, the orchards and other non-public areas of the farm may not be accessed outside of posted open hours or designated public areas.

    Four-Legged Guests
    For guests joining us with approved four-legged family members in Ambrosia Abode, just a friendly reminder that we require pets to remain off all furniture, stay leashed while outdoors, be crated when left unattended, and that you clean up after them to help us preserve the serenity and cleanliness that make Orchard’s Edge so special. Guests are responsible for any damage, excessive cleaning, or additional maintenance required as a result of their pet, and any associated costs will be charged to the reservation.
