Recommended

On a motorcycle tour of Scandinavia we stayed in around 15 different hotels - this was a real favourite. It was slightly out of season, so fairly quiet even though it looks like it could handle a lot of guests comfortably (I imagine it's sometimes used for weddings). Our room was superb - very recently refurbished (still had that slight "new carpet" smell) and was finished to a very high standard. Very spacious, with a large bathroom and even a little entrance lobby. Each room has it's own door out on to a square courtyard which makes for a really nice environment - no long gloomy corridors here! The dinner is buffet style, but it's good quality, as was the breakfast. If you have time, there's a river down some steps at the back of the main building (beyond the sauna). There are several little streams and bridges so it's a lovely place to explore. Staff were all really friendly and efficient, and we had a lovely time.

Vi kommer tillbaka!

Detta var vårt andra besök på Margretetorp. Vi var mycket nöjda redan vid förra besöket för ett par år sedan, men ännu mera så denna gång – rummen var helrenoverade, och håller hög klass. Restaurangen var lika bra som förra gången, och personalen var vänlig och hjälpsam – uppmärksam, men inte påträngande. Miljön både inomhus och i gästgiveriets omgivningar är enastående för den som söker en lugn och behaglig plats för en övernattning eller två. Vi kommer garanterat tillbaka!

De nya ullmattorna behöver dammsugas. Tar tid att få bort allt överskotts ull men svarta strumpor skall inte bli helt vita och av hur som inte bara kommer från ullmattan. Avloppet i duschen var förmodligen inte rensat på ett tag. Det luktade avlopp i badrummet. Botten av toalettstolen hade behövt en grov rengöring.
