8/10 Good
"We loved the hotel with the exception of our room, which was almost too small to function. The bed was terrific though. The bathroom was only large enough for one at a time. Our luggage took most of the floor space. The restaurant and bar were great, our meals were 5 star, and all of the staff were helpful and gracious. I’d stay there again, just not in room 303."

"We stayed here right after the eclipse -- I booked far in advance because I knew the whole peninsula would be busy. The hotel was as expected for an iceland hotel. It's an older building but it's nice. Had a good sleep. Breakfast was pretty standard. The location was good -- I wanted to be close to Kirkjufell for early morning photos. But we had no view of it from our room -- just some industrial warehouses. We didn't explore the town much."

"Unique, stand-alone apartments/suites on a scenic site. Close to a beautiful but challenging hiking trail. A little cafe is within a few minutes walking distance, as is a hotel with a restaurant and bar. There are no beverages or snacks. Check-in is flawless if you read your email from 2 days before. (We were traveling and didn’t check.) No air conditioning, but open windows cooled the room. In the end, it might have been nice to stay another night or two."

"Beautiful, spacious cottage with stunning views of Snæfellsjökull. Well equipped and an excellent base for exploring the peninsula. Unit 6 has three bedrooms and is a duplex. The complex has about a dozen cottages of different sizes. During our stay it was quiet and peaceful. Prospective guests should note that this is a “true” self-cleaning rental, meaning guests do all laundry and the cleaning. There was no housekeeping inspection between guests. The Wi-Fi was very slow (3G and the house rules ask guests not to stream), and the hot water pressure was low. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much."
