Our room was clean and comfortable. Check in was quick and easy and staff was friendly. Everything was in good condition. The price of the room was comparable to the accommodations. There was supposed to be free breakfast at 7 am but we left at 7:55 and no one had showed up to open up for breakfast. Other than that everything was fine.

The room was ready an hour late. The toilet ran all the time and had to beg for a blanket. Both beds only had sheets and couldn't get two blankets, one for each bed. The property is not within a safe walking distance to downtown Helen. Tried to get coffee and breakfast at 7:10a and the office was locked up and the breakfast room was dark and locked. Tried again at 7:40a. Breakfast was supposed to be available from 6a-9a.

This hotel has been the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. They gave me a room and when I entered they had never cleaned it and the beds were without sheets. Everything was super dirty and smelled super bad.

I booked this hotel for our yearly Christmas trip to Helen. We’ve always stayed at the same place but decided to try somewhere else. NEVER AGAIN! For one Expedia overcharged me but $100 compared to the receipt I got upon my arrival. Second the guy working at the front tried be rude when we went to check in until he realized I wasn’t the one then he was extremely helpful and nice after. When we got to our room it stunk like cigarettes and a moldy smell. The blankets on the bed were literally paper thin which was insane to me. Thankfully the next day we found others in drawers there. The room was small and clostrophobic. The bathroom is so small my kids could barely change in there. The tub was nasty we didn’t use it to even shower. Thankfully we were only there 2 nights and we did get in the jacuzzi (only good thing about the hotel). Pool is not heated. Breakfast was decent but it was very unsanitary to have open boxes of cereal all in the cabinets and drawers. 2 waffle makers but no batter or anything. All in all worst hotel experience I’ve ever had and I’ll never use Expedia again either!

Location is a plus a minute from Helen, but this place is a mess. Dirty and stained bed sheets, talk to front desk and they said bed sheets were clean, i said if was clean I wouldn’t complain and he gave me a nasty attitude. Bathroom was full os soap scummed like never was clean, bathroom door has all kind of stains never clean. Even was a $110 night this hotel need a new housekeeper that can clean. Do not stay here.

Good job!!
I stayed at the Budgetel Inn & Suites in Helen, Ga and was very pleased with my choice. I got to the hotel around 12:45 am and had to ring the bell and then telephone the night clerk. He had the best attitude!! I also felt safe as I was alone. but I was glad to see the parking lot and exterior were pretty well lit up and I in nice shape. The room itself seemed very clean and I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

I paid $365 for a room that the guy behind me who do not have a reservation paid under $200 for. Went to Helen for Oktoberfest. Thanking it would be packed and I would have trouble getting a room so I jumped on this one. The hotel has been painted to look nice and the rooms have been redone as far as furniture but the place is really really outdated. Old showers. I won’t stay here again simply because of the money and how I was taken. But in a pinch it’s better than sleeping in your car I guess. Maybe depending on what type of car you have

Wet bed!!
Check in was kinda fast but when we got to the room and got unpacked my wife saw that the bed was wet. The sprinkler from the ceiling was leaking on the bed. When we went downstairs to let the manager know he told us things happen and it was not anything he could control. He told us that we could move to a queen room but thats all he could do for us. I discussed it with my wife and we were just to tired to try to find another place to stay so we moved rooms. When we moved to the room we went to bed and the smoke detector started to chirp. My wife called dow to the office and the manager told her that he would get to us after he finished up with the 6 couples i the lobby. It took him about 25-30 minutes to come up to the room and fix it. My wife just had a cancer treatment and was exhausted she just wanted to go to bed. The mager the next day wanted to have us move back onto the first room that the water leak. I told the man no i didn't want my wife to have to move again and he never gave is a discount or a refund for the difference. It was not a pleasant stay & i will never take my wife back to this peace of crap hotel again.

If there was a -5 rating i would give it. we could not stay there because it reeked of marijuana smell. They charged my card in advance and reduses to eefund me.

Get what you pay for
Staff was nice but it’s definitely a get what you pay for place. The room reeked of cigarette smoke despite the non smoking sign on the door. When we walked into the room there was still leftover trash in the trash can and a full cup of coffee in the fridge. The shower head was not attached to the wall, it was hung onto the holder by a hair tie. Definitely bring your own blankets. It was just a very uncomfortable stay because we felt gross and unclean the whole time with the smells and awkward showers.

Non smoking room smelled like cigarettes. We called to ask for a change in rooms which we were denied and no solution was offered. Had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to come out to the front desk to help us out. Hot tub had cold water pumping into it. Bathroom toilet had brown ring around the water line, not cleaned before check in. Fitted sheet on one bed had stains on sheet. A couple dead bugs on floor.

Hot tub pool awesome shower handles flipped backwards my wife had to take cold shower asked for extra towel was told to wait until housekeeping came room had holes n wall a piece on wall was tear I would stay there again the good was way better than bad

The heater leaked to the point the carpet between the heater and the bed was soaked. There was a funky smell to the room as well.
