Bear Cub 2 - Cute Cabin in Helen, GA

  • Welcome to Bear Cub 2! Back on inventory in 2026 after renovations and redecorating, this cabin was formerly named Firefly Hill and then Helen Cabin 2.

    This cute little cabin is located in Helen. Less than half a mile from Betty's Country Store and 2 miles from Unicoi State Park, you have the best of both worlds in nature and a small Bavarian town in the North Georgia Mountains.

    The master bedroom is located on the main floor. This room features a queen bed and a back deck. Enjoy a soak and massage in the indoor jetted garden tub or take a relaxing shower in the master bathroom. The loft area has a queen bed and its own bathroom with a walk-in shower. The door in the loft also leads outside to a small deck. There is also streaming television and WiFi internet service. There is free Roku TV. Remember to bring your login information for subscription channels, such as Netflix and Hulu.

    The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, toaster and a dual standard drip and k-cup coffee maker. Enjoy the evening grilling out on the gas grill located on the back deck. Enjoy any meal al fresco with the table, umbrella and four chairs on the same deck.

    Bear Cub 2 is within the town limits of Helen, GA. Helen is one of the most beautiful sections of Northeast Georgia. This mountain community has a wide variety of natural attractions. Whether sightseeing on the North Georgia Mountains, visiting the beautiful Anna Ruby Falls, hiking the Appalachian Trail, or tubing down the Chattahoochee River, this Bavarian town has something for everyone. The area also holds more than 200 specialty and import shops.

    This is a pet-friendly cabin and a one-time per-pet fee will be added if you bring your dog(s). The pet fees that will be added to your reservation are $75 + tax for the first and $50 + tax for each additional.

    Just next door is Bear Cub 1, formerly Cricket Hill and then Helen Cabin 1. Booking both cabins would be a great location for a group of up to 8 guests.

    • Minimum Age Requirement: Bear Cub 2 is available to families or to guests 21 years or older.
    • Parking: Space is available for 2 vehicles.
    • Access: The road and parking are dirt and gravel.
    • Pets: No more than Two Pets are allowed at Bear Cub 2.
    • Location: 0.5 miles to Main Street in downtown Helen.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was clean very nice very well stocked with what we needed. Everything was great. There were quite a few spiders spiderwebs so that’s nothing really big just kinda had to go around and knock him down here with the spiders the kids what kind of freaking out about it other than that, it was a great stay, and we highly recommend it to other people. We look forward to coming back during Thanksgiving, hopefully to stay at another one of your locations. The only thing that had happened when we’re leaving was that we forgot a laptop and charger by the dining room table hopefully we can get that resolved soon and quickly as I need it for work.

Great cabin in a fantastic location. It’s close to town while feeling like you are fully in nature. The back deck was like sitting in a treehouse with the distant sound of water and birds. I was grateful for the little note about the tree sap. Communication was fantastic from start to finish. I look forward to staying here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin is very dated but comfortable enough for a short stay. The host/owners were great to work with. The only reason I would not stay here again is the driveway. It isn’t just rough, there are deep ruts going all the way across which could easily ruin a regular car. Thankfully my daughter had her pickup or we would have had to find other accommodations. I would recommend staying there only if you have the proper vehicle. 4 wheel drive would be best.
