"Would have been helpful to know at the time of booking that needed separate bus ticket to go to the location. Fortunately the property reached out so we knew this ahead of our trip. Unfortunately, we didn’t know the accommodation also required you to bring your own sleeping bag. Luckily the facility had linen to “rent” but of course with everything in Iceland it came with a hefty price."

"The tents were comfortable, clean, and warm. The overall property was good, the bathroom was fine and clean, the general areas were clean, the grass was well maintained, but the showers were not so great. I found the shower area dirty. It was at the very end of the day so maybe I just caught it at a bad time, but that would be my only issue. I would go back."

"I’ve now visited Iceland 10 times, and I’ve stayed at a variety of hotels, guesthouses, Airbnb’s, etc., and Loa’s Nest is by far the best combination of room comfort, cleanliness, cooking amenities, staff communication and kindness that I’ve experienced. The single story guesthouse is extremely well designed with obvious soundproofing, as I didn’t hear a single other person while I was in my room despite the place being full. The clean and convenient refrigerator and the full kitchen take the best of a guesthouse experience and combines it with your own room and spacious bathroom. In the morning, they serve waffles that are delicious! I highly recommend it!"

"We stayed many places between $200-500/night range throughout Iceland and this was by far the nicest. It is far from town (good thing for some ppl, bad for others maybe). The whole hotel even smelled lovely. Large rooms, it was warm at first but they provided a fan we placed by the window and it cooled off nicely. Firm but extremely comfortable bed, perfect soft pillows and nice duvet. The breakfast was also maybe the best hotel breakfast we had in Iceland. One of the few places I would stay again out of 10 hotels we used!! I only wish they would not charge for the hot tub (which appeared quite small)"

"We stayed there for one night only. Overall it was great, the rooms are tiny though for a three people to fit in. We stayed in a one bedroom cottage. It has a microwave, stove, pots and pans. So you can cook / warm food too which was very convenient. They have a breakfast and a restaurant place and you need to purchase meals if you are staying at the cottage. It is fine for a 1/2 days of stay."
