Hotel Marburger Hof

Hotel Marburger Hof

10/10 Excellent
"Germany is very eco-oriented. If you decline a daily cleaning you can put a small bag on the knob and they will skip your room but put in a little gift of some sort. If you are renting a car, parking is a little problematic as it is in many hotels and cities in Europe. The hotel underground parking spaces are very small. If you have a larger vehicle it is almost impossible to navigate the space. We did end up with a scratch on the rental vehicle. We will rent smaller cars going forward. Breakfasts were varied for all tastes and complimentary, definitely a plus! Staff were great, room perfect, location perfect for touring Marburg. Would definitely recommend."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Heimertshausen?
The best area to stay in Heimertshausen is within the village centre itself, as it offers the most convenient access to local amenities and the surrounding natural beauty.

Heimertshausen is a small, quiet village, so the "centre" refers to the concentrated area around the main road, Dorfstraße. Here, you'll find the local church, a few traditional guesthouses, and the community hall. The village is surrounded by rolling hills and forests, making it a peaceful base for exploring the Hessian countryside.

For couples seeking a tranquil escape, staying in one of the guesthouses in the village centre is ideal. You'll be within easy walking distance of local walking and cycling paths, superb for enjoying the outdoors together. The quiet evenings offer a chance to relax and enjoy the calm of rural Germany.

Solo travellers looking for a peaceful retreat will also find the village centre appealing. It provides a sense of community, and you'll have no trouble finding information about local attractions or simply enjoying the serene environment.
When is the best time to go to Heimertshausen?
The best time to visit Heimertshausen is generally during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is mildest and most conducive to outdoor activities.

During these months, the temperatures are pleasant, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, making it ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside and enjoying the natural beauty of the region. This period also sees the most daylight hours, allowing for longer days of sightseeing and relaxation.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find May and June particularly appealing. The landscape is lush and green, and the blooming wildflowers add a picturesque quality to walks and drives. It's a lovely time to enjoy the quiet trails and local eateries without the peak summer crowds.

Families travelling with children will appreciate the warmer temperatures of July and August. These months are superb for outdoor adventures, such as hiking in the nearby Vogelsberg mountains or visiting local farms.
