Let me start by saying that this hotel has some really nice people working for them.
We checked in our room and realized AC wasnt working. We were moved to a different room, AC still is isnt working. Room is decent, nothing exceptional. We were taken to one room and another only to realize AC is not working anywhere. One of the room on 6th floor had the AC working, but we soon realized it had an awful smell.. there were water leak and it smelled like mold..so this one was no good. By this time..we have looked at about 8 room already. They opened another room on 6th and the same thing, smelled awful. I finally said NO to 6th floor all together.
Finally found a decent room on the 7th, AC DID NOT WORK, however, It had 2 windows so we opened the windows and enjoyed natural air instead. I asked a hotel guest if the AC was working in this room, and he mentioned it is, but their is a water leak. The Fridge was broken, the locked didnt work. We were pretty tired of complaining so we let it be.
I feel very bad for the hotel staff, they are really nice people. They were trying really hard to find a room that had AC working, but no luck. I could see in their face, they felt really bad about it.
We paid $135/night in expedia for this hotel. I dont know if its a really low price for Havana, but I would think the hotel can be maintained and improved.
The restaurant and outdoor seating was great, we used the area a lot, specially after a long day to relax and use the internet.
