Locals are very friendly and helpful, and you shouldn't hesitate to ask anyone for tips and recommendations.
The Sevier River Ranch is very private on the edge of town. It sits on 280+ acres and is traversed by the Sevier River and there are typically 100+ head of cattle on the property during the summer season.

The nearest grocery store is in Panguitch (15 mins) and you will find a Walmart Super Center in Cedar City or a grocery store in Kanab (1 hour). There are two convenience stores and 4 restaurants in Hatch, but they close from about October 15th through April 15th. There are several restaurants on the way to Bryce Canyon and some are open year round.
There is no public transportation. You will need a car (4x4 or high clearance is recommended in order to enjoy the surrounding off-road trails), but a regular low-clearance sedan is sufficient to access the Ranch House itself.

This is one of our favorite places to stay. It is always clean, beautiful, comfortable, and the property is fabulous for long picturesque walks. Highly recommend.
My husband and I stayed for one night. The bed was so comfortable and everything was super clean. The property is beautiful and the location was great for our visit to Bryce Canyon.
Love this property. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family. Close to Bryce and Zion, with a full kitchen and beautiful bathroom and shower, and rustic log cabin ambience, the family loved staying here. Great for families!
Beautiful cabin! Easy self check in. Great communication with owner. We enjoyed a great meal at the Outlaw Saloon right there at the end of their road! Very convenient. Would definitely recommend this property!
We wanted a place to stay between Zion and Bryce. We found this place, and it was perfect. The kids were pumped when we opened the door to a nice log cabin, that was decorated super cutely. Of the hotel-like places we stayed on our trip, this was by far our favorite.
My husband and I loved staying in this cabin for our visit to Bryce Canyon! Very well located and on a beautiful and peaceful property. We were fascinated by the prairie dog community. Comfortable and nicely decorated interior. Highly recommend for two people!
Fantastic location. Unbelievable night sky. Well stocked kitchen. The ranch animals were an added bonus. The floor however could have been kept cleaner. The next cabin tenant parked right in front of our unit, and totally blocked our window. Assigned parking can keep some such people in front of their own units. But overall, great stay.
We enjoyed the property very much. It was a joy to sit on the swings and take in the quiet and the beauty. The night sky was also amazing. The interior of the rooms were beautiful and very clean. Having a kitchen and full size refrigerator was very helpful. Would definitely stay again
I loved this place! The bed was super comfortable and the shower was fantastic. The kitchen had everything we needed and I love the decor. Would highly recommend
Peaceful Retreat Well Situated for National Parks Exploration
The Tack Room was very well appointed, peaceful and comfortable. We appreciated having the kitchen to make meals after long days of hiking, plus the fire pit to enjoy and keep warm while stargazing. We loved watching the goldfinches out the kitchen window and the Utah prairie dogs on the property. Perfect location for exploring Bryce Canyon. Go to the Outlaw Saloon right down the street for great food and service!
Really enjoyed this property. Had all the kitchen essentials we needed since there's very little restaurants near by. Owner was helpful with questions.
Really liked being able to have a fire and star gaze. Thanks for having us!
This property is perfect. The beds are comfortable. The cabin has everything you need to just relax and do not much. There are prairie dogs, chipmunks and rabbits in the field next to you. The cows will greet you also. Restaurants are 5 to 20 minutes away.
If you enjoy quiet evenings with a picturesque setting, this is the place for you! A sky carpeted with brilliant stars, cattle grazing nearby in a secluded setting truly rejuvenated our souls. Thanks to Gordon for accommodating our needs.
We enjoyed a great stay and toured all the great sights in the area. Found it to be a good location as a "home base." Gordon was great in communication, everything was in order and clean. We enjoyed watching the rabbit at our kitchen window, the prairie dogs in the pasture, and birds who always greeted our arrival "home."
Wonderful property. We were in “The Tack Room Studio”. Very Clean. Would definitely stay here again. Only small thing, I would have liked to have had access to broom and dust pan for cleaning the floor during our stay.
My husband and I wanted to visit Bryce Canyon National Park but do not love dealing with people on vacation. This place was perfect. It was 30 minutes away from the park and tucked back on some farmland. We were greeted by the cattle the second we crossed the cattle guard and surrounded by nature the entire time. The Tack Room was super cute and clean. It was well worth getting the kitchen to be able to cook during our two night stay. Definitely would recommend!
