"We recently stayed at Hilton London Gatwick Airport, and to be honest, my overall experience was quite disappointing. Before heading out, we called reception and asked if our room could be refreshed and the towels replaced. It seemed like a simple request, but when we came back later, nothing had been done. The towels were still the same, the bedding hadn’t been changed, and the room hadn’t been cleaned at all—even the trash was still there. It was frustrating, especially after taking the time to call and request it."

"Fab location so easy for airport departures. Room was on the small side but as its only a stay over for a flight didn't matter. Helpful staff. 20% in airport restaurants when showing your room card. Would book again if we had an early flight again."

"Great location, close to the seafront. Helpful staff at check in, with good information sent before arrival. Clean room, comfy bed, quiet with blackout curtains. Only criticism is that the discount code for the car park did not work on exit, so charged the full price. NCP confirmed it had expired & to contact the hotel but as yet, still waiting for a reply. Would still recommend & return."

"The staff were absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to make us feel safe in the environment, although when we stayed the weather had other ideas it was really beautiful to see our city in another light , the room was immaculate with a very fresh smell throughout the hotel Will definitely be staying again"

"I enjoyed my stay here, especially the upgraded room. It was a lovely, well kept hotel, perhaps a little tired in places, but still cared for. We really did not like the breakfast experience, due to the fact there is no room in the breakfast room for all the guests and therefore sometimes you are asked to eat in the bar area. No problem with this, but not when you can’t fit your food on a small bar table, necessitating playing musical tables when people left their (bigger) table. If you are lucky enough to get sat in the breakfast room, then the cooked breakfast, toast and juices and hot drinks machines and cutlery were in three separate locations with hardly any room round them to manoeuvre. Some staff were so busy, they forgot to greet us with a courteous ‘good morning’ when greeting guests at the entrance to breakfast. Options are pared down to the usual choices with nothing special on for breakfast and no menu options to order. On a more positive note, the room was clean and comfortable and little extras were really appreciated."

"Checked in and the reception absolutely stunk of weed from the Eastern Europeans in front of us. Asked about parking and was told from 6pm it was free but it we wasn’t moving our car we needed to go out by 8am and pay the machine the day rate. Most of the hotels along the font subsidised parking. Asked what time the bar opened to be told unless there is a coach they don’t open it. Asked about the restaurant to be told the same. Got to our room and it was very basic and on first checking no windows opened and the room was so hot and the radiator was on and couldn’t turn it off. The window was cracked and held together by sellotape. Went back downstairs and asked for a fan and they did get one. The room was extremely basic and no idea how long it had been there but a previous guest had stuck a used plaster on the back of the bathroom door and it was still there. Staff had little interest in speaking to you. First words was you pay now. Went out to get some dinner and when we returned there was a lot of Eastern Europeans stood outside blocking the stairs drinking bottles of wine/beer smoking weed and was quite intimidating to walk past. There is no security or cameras around the hotel. Reception door was open all night."
